[PoA] Legend XIV in Austria!

Dear friends,

Busy days again, so I can barely find time to work and train (in real life of course), let alone write an article. But this is a special occasion so, lets get it started.

A year ago, me and my friend King Dom made a project together. Honour our dearest countrymen (and women) for everything they've done for Austria. Some long departed the game, some still here, but all of them gave their 100% for our country.

So first and foremost I want to thank King Dom for this amazing gesture and his commitment to finish it all the way. This is our 10th Legend in Austria, and his name will forever stay in the history books, speaking of all the things he has done for our country.



So who is OEBernd?

One of the oldest citizens in Austria, Bernd was also one of the strongest. He was President a couple of times, Minister of Finance, Advisor, a great Minister of Education and from 2012-2014 Minister of Defense. I remember those days quite well. I was still young and got caught in the storm that was brewing. The game was very different from nowadays, many people used IRC for various things (such as planning attacks and organizing the army). One day I got a message from Bernd asking me if I would like to be a Vice Minister of Defense. I accepted not being aware of what actually awaits me. Bernd supplied 500 of our soldiers with weapons EVERY SINGLE DAY. That means donating over 5000 Q5 tanks (best quality those days). And that was my job. (Thanks Bernd). People could have also received additional supplies if they joined our army chat. I think everyone remembers #autarmy. Well, while doing that, Bernd actually revived our economy and made our soldiers more active than ever! He was around in every campaign, every resource war, lending a helping hand whenever Austria needed one. He is still here, still helping others, writing articles about new events informing our citizens on how to improve faster. I know that he will be here till the bitter end, a loyalist like him deserves to be remembered. That is why today, we are honoring Bernd with a Legend rank. His name will live forever. And if people ask themselves in 10 years or something, “why is my rank named OEBernd?”, I’ll tell them to wear that name proudly because without him Austria wouldn’t have been here at all.

This is for you Bernd! My fellow metal head, we’ll meet one day - in the shallows of river Soča, drinking beer and sharing interesting memories about the days when we were young.
