^.^ My Brother and Me: My Support for Emerick ^.^

Hello Citizens of this Grand eWorld!

Today, I am writing to you to discuss a very important issue: Emerick. There have been a lot of homages to Emerick lately, but I had to give mine anyways. This is me speaking up in defense of my brother Emerick, which I should have done months ago but was too much of a pussy to do so.

The Story of Medy and Emerick

I first encountered the greatness of Emerick last July when I began the game and voted for him for PP of the Libs (yes, I was a Lib first). I never really took the time to get to know Emerick because I was timid and shy. It was obvious that when I joined the game, he was a man of great stature in this place, and I did not want to make a fool of myself by contacting him to say "Hey, I think you're p cool and proud to be a Lib while you're PP." So, a really big gap filled the space between then and when I first started to talk to Emerick.

At the time I started the game, International Press was one of the largest and best written papers in the world. I was browsing some of Emerick's musings when I remembered how much I totally loved him (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/what-is-a-president--681468/1/20). Dare I say, I actually had an eCrush. A dialogue finally began to emerge between us, and Emerick took notice of the elections scandals and was interested about the story of me and my followers in eTurkey and wrote an amazing article about our battle with onrche in his paper (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/big-trouble-in-little-turkey--692075/1/20).

When I finally made the big move to the USA, Emerick became my eAmerican mentor (I actually had 2, as Benn Dover was my other). He was always there for me, answered any questions I had, and introduced me to all of the cool kids (like Geno Garon--I love him). Emerick and I served in congress and on Benn Dover's cabinet together. In congress, he and I worked on many of the things you see today: I worked with Jtree on getting up the voting system (where congress members became responsible for recording their votes for the transparency of congress) and Emerick came up with the 5 approvals because that way it would help lessen the amount of retarded proposals. He and I worked with scrabman and NoneSuch on a rockin version of the constitution that was extremely helpful (the whole thing was lost when Franco killed the forum and looks much different than the one you see today). Emerick was one of the strongest driving forces in congress at that time. He made a lot of remarks that seem on surface level to be off hand or aloof, but it's just his personality. Most frequently, his remarks calmed the situation and led to progress. When I took over as Chief of Staff, acting Secretary of State Emerick helped me understand our foreign affairs policy and guided me toward making stellar choices in cabinet appointments.

Emerick helped Justinious and I get into the White House by giving us the Lib nod in our election. Around the time I married Justinious, Emerick and I cemented our eRelationship and became eBrother and sister. It wasn't long after that when Emerick and I had a falling out. At the time, I thought he was totally wrong about the situation as it existed. He told me that I had changed, that I was a person who had become totally spineless and lost all of my knack for fun. At the time, I thought he was just being a total douche. Months later, I have done some soul searching and I realized that Emerick is right. He always has been.

Why I Endorse This Crazy Man

Many people here do not understand Emerick. They see his dickish sounding comments and think he's really a prick who has nothing better to contribute to the eWorld, but I have always thought about Emerick much like I think about the UIP. He is a guy who loves to have fun but can get stuff done at the same time without making it overly bureaucratic. He and I often think exactly the same thing (esp. on foreign policy and economics) and actually have a very similar drive to succeed. Emerick is experienced and will bring back fun to this nation. If you don't believe me, just watch him trolling Ajay Bruno in #usa-chat and then look at the progress he has made in the very short time he has been back in congress. He is coming back with a vengeance. And I for one wish to help him on this quest. That is why have cast my vote for Emerick.
