Hello citizens of the UK and world,

Only a few days into this new term, and already the MoFA is once again moving forward steadily. The call to arms for workers for this ministry has been answered, and we now have ourselves a large staff that is already hard at work.

To all still wanting to work in the department, we always have room, and will never turn away extra help, so feel free to still apply by clicking the picture below (stolen from Mitte 😁.

Plans for this Month:

I believe in the same philosophy that Mittekemuis did when she was MoFA last term, that it's not only the MoFA job to keep other nations informed of our government, but our job to keep OUR nation informed of the on-goings of other governments. This view will be continued to be reflected in this term with many articles detailing important events happening around the eGlobe, all to keep the general public informed.

Adding to that, one of the main goals this month will be improving relations with many other countries, but most importantly, Ireland. The signing of a peace treaty with our Irish neighbors was a big first step between our two nations, and from there, it must grow. Unlike Canada, or France, we will always be next to Ireland, and while warfare between our nations has proved exciting at times, peace can be more beneficial in the long run. Here at the MoFA, we look forward to working more closely with our Irish counterparts, and strengthening the relationship between us.

eUK and eChile

As many of you may know, Chile was recently kicked out of the alliance TERRA following disputes with non-member nation, Argentina. This dismissal could not come at a more inopportune time, as Chile is experiencing a baby boom, and this now leaves them open to attack by Argentina.

In the previously stated idea of building bridges, and making new friends, the UK government donated 25.000 health to the the Chilean government, not including the 100.000+ health donated by individual eUK citizens, all to help support their baby boom in these trying times they face.

It is the hope of the UK to strengthen our bonds with Chile, and continue to assist them both as an ally, and a friend.

eUK/eIreland Peace Treaty:

I've been noticing, after reading comments in a few articles recently, that many citizens of our nation know little about the treaty with the Irish, and as such are become angry at the lack of progress we seem to have made with it. In the effort to educate people, the terms of the treaty are posted below:

In exchange for Northern Ireland, and Scotland (which gives the Irish a fish and cattle bonus), the UK will receive the regions of Louth and Dublin (which gives us a fruit bonus).

However, many wonder why we still have not received these regions, and the answer is simple, we have no way to access it. We cannot simply RW the regions, nor can the Irish...we must take it, and the Irish will lose it purposefully. The problem however, is that the only access we have to Louth or Dublin is through Wales which is currently controlled by Canada, and Northern Ireland (which is part of our treaty with the Irish).

Even if we were take Wales, then getting the regions from the Irish would be pointless until Canada is kicked off the island, as they could simply attack Wales again and cut off the route to the capital.

For now, we must go without the regions and continue to focus our efforts on kicking out the Canadians, and French.
