Queen Artela and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tenshibo are pleased to announce that the United States has come to terms on a Peace Treaty with Spain. After nearly six months of constant war, the governments of Spain, Brazil and the United States have decided to put down their arms, and embrace peace.

This afternoon, Queen Artela declared ‘No Nation’ as our Natural Enemy. This is the first step in the process of Peace with Spain. First, we must close the war, then we can propose peace. The entire process takes 48 hours.
Under the terms of the agreement, the United States will retain the regions of Navarra and Asturias, ensuring a supply of Iron, as well as Deer. Neither Spain, nor any members of ONE, will support, nor start a Resistance War in either of these regions. If by some chance the United States does lose these regions, Spain will be immediately declared as Natural Enemy, and either or both of the regions will be re-conquered.

The remaining Spanish regions, will be freed via Resistance War.

The United States will also retain her regions in both Mexico and France.

Brazil and the United States will not not open any wars against Spain for the length of the agreement.

The agreement is for 10 days, with the United States having the option to extend it for an additional 30 days.

Parliament ratified the Non-Aggression Pact on Thursday, and it was formally signed this afternoon, by the Presidents of Spain, Brazil and the United States. Members of TERRA and ONE were also present at the signing.



What does this mean for the United States?
It means economic security, first and foremost. Securing two vital resources, as well as adding to the security of Aquitaine and Baja. This will provide additional income in the form of taxes, leading to greater supply for our Armed Forces.

This also allows the United States to stop focusing as much on the constant battles in the Iberian. To be honest, the constant back and forth between Spain, Brazil and the United States was almost as bad as the Balkans. This move will allow for greater flexibility for our Armed Forces, and allow us to provide more support for our allies, as they continue to stand on the front lines, against ONE.
