Population Stats readers. If I win the election I will be releasing a population stats article on the 6th! So international viewers please vote this up if you want to see population statistics. 😛

Hello citizens of the eUK.

I hope that today you will decide to vote for me in the Country Presidential elections. This article will sum up all my manifestos in a tl;dr form for your reading pleasure.

Firstly lets just take a quick look at my Cabinet structure.

Before we start I'd just like to remind you of the large amount of government experience I have, which for some odd reason is being questioned by a number of people all of a sudden 😉, but I can reassure you this is a groundless claim.

I have had a wealth of experience at cabinet level, having been Deputy Prime Minister under jamesw, as well as twice being Minister of Home Affairs, which is one of the key Ministries in the eUK. This shows I am more than equipped to manage the Domestic side of a presidency. I also have had numerous terms in congress and as a Party President, a role which I feel is a good indicator of being an able manager of people, which is in truth a major role of a CP that is often overlooked. I have also been an apprentice and Under Minister in various Ministries numerous times. I'm a successful journalist, with a large readership from my Population Statistics articles (I'll have one out soon, I promise 😁 and I hope to use that to improve ingame communication if I am elected. My Vice Presidential candidate also has extensive experience in both Foreign Affairs and the Military, having been a three time Minister of Foreign Affairs and a member of Military Command. I think that our combined experience provides a great base from which a Shabado government can form and lead the UK into a successful future.

Note:After receiving feedback from members of the tech community in the eUK I have decided to add an extra Ministry, the Ministry of Technology. Click here to get involved in the eUK coding community.

I haven't made many changes to the cabinet structure I had last month, with one key exception. The introduction of an Alliance Liaison whose sole aim will be to get us involved in an alliance and take an important role in alliance discussions. I have already decided that this role will be taken by Jamesw, whose many contacts in erep and having worked in the Phoenix alliance command will really help speed up the process of joining an alliance and I’m sure his advice will prove invaluable. The MoFA will still be heavily involved in alliance talks, but having two people working on it instead of one should hopefully speed up the process no end.

The other key difference is that most of the major ministries, the MoHA, MoFA, MoF and MoTech will have Junior Ministers serving under them, who will learn the role from the Minister whilst also assisting them in the everyday running of the Ministries.

Military and Foreign Affairs

• One of my key goals in Military and Foreign Affairs will be to ensure that for as much of my term as possible the eUK will have a Natural Enemy, which provides a strength and rank points bonus to keep us growing militarily at a similar rate as most countries in the eWorld. This will of course have to be dealt with carefully to avoid damaging relations with countries which could affect our alliance options.
• Another aim of the term will be to acquire new resource regions from our neighbours, through conquest and especially diplomacy. A key resource that I believe the UK needs is grain, and will make attaining this a priority of my Foreign Affairs this term.
I also believe that for a strong eUK we need a strong alliance backing us up. To ensure that we achieve this goal or at least move far towards it I have created the role of Alliance Liaison, who will be a key player in any negotiations.
• I also would like the Junior MoFA to arrange summits, similar to previous ones like the Intercon Summit which help us build relations and learn from friendly countries.
• In regards to the Military, I would like to see a non-IRC military branch, to give people without enough time for IRC a chance to participate in the armed forces.
• Another key policy I would like to implement would be a Civilian Strike IRC channel, which would be used alongside a revival of the Free Guns scheme, which would give free guns to non-army members who visit the strike channel and hit at a specific time, which would maximise two clicker damage and most importantly, give people an incentive to fight
• This will be funded by the alteration of companies’ access to the Monetary Market by the admins, which should raise our tax income significantly, with some of the new income being used to increase the military budget and fund this scheme.

Economics

• As a result of the probable future admin changes regarding company access to the MM, we will receive an increase in tax income, to such a level that we will actually be able to decrease income taxes whilst still having more money to spend on things like our brilliant armed forces.
• The Monetary Market has been fluctuating heavily recently, mainly due to Plato buying up loads of products a couple of weeks ago using to fake gold in many countries around the world to balance out their changes in the rules allowing company owners to work multiple times a day. I would like to see the currency regulated as much as possible without costing us much gold to ensure our economy remains stable.
• I would like to implement a gold offers reward scheme to get more gold into the country’s coffers and make Thatcher grin :3 More information can be found in this article.
• Something I feel has been lacking in the previous term are reports to congress on the state of our finances , something which I would like the Junior Minister of Finance to do this term if elected.
• I would like the Ministry of Trade in association with the Ministry of Home Affairs to produce a company guide to ensure company owners are running their companies in the best way they can. And of course more profit for company owners means more money in taxes for the government 😁
• One other major role I envisage for the MoT if elected is to release a weekly report of the best foreign markets for company owners to invest in, which should boost our exports, as well as help company owners avoid wasting 20 gold on unprofitable export licenses.

Domestics

• After many months of the split MoHA and MoComms, based on public feedback I have decided to reunite them and restructure them.
• I’d like to improve the facilitation of games and entertainment in the eUK through the culture department . Some things I’ve been suggested to introduce to the forum game section so far are “Post what you think our eUK banner should look like here” and “Post the weirdest place you’ve advertised erepublik”. On top of getting our citizens to think more; we might be able to use these things in the Ministry of Recruitment to step up our recruiting drive.
• To further this aim I would like to introduce a scoring system or league table for eUK forum games, which will hopefully get people involved on the forums throughout the month, so they have a chance of getting the grand prize at the end of it all.
• I would also aim to simplify the eUK mentoring system, by combining mentoring of forum actives with easily accessible, no strings attached help, to be provided by resurrecting the old #erepublik-help IRC channel.
• The main aim of the education department will be updating old MoHA and MoComms tutorials. There is no point re-inventing the wheel if you already have good guides which are only slightly out of date floating around, waiting to be adapted.
• A key priority for the MoHA and Ministry of Technology will be the creation of a MoHA messaging hub which will allow us to extremely efficiently message new players daily informing them of our government schemes and how they can get involved, which should dramatically improve retention.
• I would also like to see a return of the Domestic Orders, a bi-daily article that will include links to all the latest government articles and publicise our initiatives.
• Another thing I aim to implement is a streamlined Wiki team that as well as updating the UK pages updates and works on wiki pages for a small fee, paid in gold, another way of raising funds for the government.
• Another idea of mine is to bring back the Free Guns scheme, but this time with Food which would be given to people to encourage them to fight and improve retention.
• To ensure the Ministry of Recruitment have good levels of staff I will encourage all MoHA applicants to also apply for the MoR.
• If and when we finally get a long awaited babyboom, we want to make sure to have great levels of retention. To do this is by asking the MoR to begin a babyboom fund, which will comprise of mostly GBP, alongside some Gold and food, meaning we will have immediate resources allocated especially to a babyboom if one occurs.
• One other thing I will look to implement is cooperation between the MoR and the FA team so we can get ideas for retention and recruitment from other coutries who have had successes in this area.

Well done if you've managed to read all of that again.

To conclude I've given you many reasons to vote Shabado and shown not only my experience but my ideas on key issues that I believe need to be tackled. I hope this article and my other manifesto has made you think of voting for me. As many of you will know; every vote counts.

Thanks for your time.
