[Irish Army] Boot Camp - Update 1

Soldiers of the Irish Army,

ATTENTION

At ease.

Alright. We got the introduction out of the way. Now down to business.

Why wear the IA Uniform?

First order of business is getting everyone suited up. When I send my welcome message to the new recruits I mention that getting a uniform is as simple as sending me the URL of the image you want in the center of your uniform avatar. Well it is that simple. I will then send it on to our Quartermaster Shytach and he will create a custom uniform for you and send you the link so you can put it on. An even simpler method would be to send the URL directly to Shytach but you can still send it to me if you like and I will pass it along.

There is a reason we want you to wear a uniform. First is showing pride in the fact that you are a member of the Irish Army.

Second we want to be seen on the battlefield. When our allies see people fighting for them in battles we want to be recognised as the Irish Army. That their ally has come to their aid. It builds bonds of friendship and brotherhood that are vital to our ability to stay unwiped in this crazy world.

Third, by wearing the appropriate and correct uniform, you are automatically entered into a weekly draw to win 10 Q7 weapons.

It's a no-brainer really.

Time to Study

Second on my list of business is getting you new recruits the knowledge to maximise your abilities. Should you rush right in to battle with no weapons and little strength? How does the division affect my ability to win medals? What weapons should I use?
These are all things that you might want to know. Knowing the best way to fight will help you greatly to win those medals, increase your strength and make sure that when you fight you hit hard and win.

So to get you started I have some light reading for you.

The first article is from the University of Ireland and written by Ian E Coleman a most knowledgeable man. This article will give you a good start on your way to being able to tank for Ireland.

Next is an article from the University of Ireland with links to help answer all kinds of questions that you may have. You don’t have to read them all. You don’t have to read any if you don’t like but if you really want to succeed here you should give some of them a read. Also it will help you from getting the dreaded Noob label.

As always if you don’t see an answer to your questions you can always ask me or Commander Tayto. We are happy to answer any and all questions.

Food and Weapons

Lastly for now there is the matter of food and weapons. There has been a change in the way we supply the IA. The old commune system is gone. Now you just need to send 350 IEP to Commander Tayto and you will receive your weapons allotment of 70 Q7 weapons within 48 hours. Not too bad.

As for food. I have a stockpile given to me by the powers that be that is for anyone who needs food. I usually shout in the IA thread and you can just comment and I will get some food to you as soon as I can. The amount will depend on how much I have at that moment. Or you can PM me directly if you need to. Either way I will get you what I can as soon as I can. IF you are desperate you can just shout out in the IA thread and someone usually will share if they can.

If anyone has any extra food they would like to donate for me to distribute I am always accepting donations.

That is all for now.

Anthony Colby
Bootcamp Officer.
