- Basic Idea -

First of all, i would like to ask your attention to

Based on that article and its comments, we consider cost and distance as the prior reason to choose the next host for eRepublik International Meeting. Let’s be honest, with polling system to determine host for eRepublik International Meeting, European Country will always be host for eRepublik International Meetings. It is simply because most of eRepublik players are come from Europe, so they (naturally) will choose Europe Countries to save money and time.

Suddenly, several ideas pop up inside my head. First, no rule said that eRepublik International Meeting must be held in 1 place. Why don't we split eRepublik International Meeting into few big meeting based on Region in around the world? We can make 4 regional meeting for Asia-Australia, Central-South America, North America and Europe. That way we can meet eRepublik players from different countries with various background and nationality.

Second, based on alpho idea in this article, distance and cost should not be a hindrance in these days with all the technology around us.



we can use teleconference to communicate without limits space, cost and time...!!!

As for me who live in Indonesia, Asia. I would like to propose an idea of making a Regional Meeting for Asia-Australia in Indonesia at the same time with Regional Meeting in Europe. We can use teleconference to connect each Regional meeting from around the world.

-Why this Meeting is Important-

For hours, days, months and years we play this game. We are stuck with pictures on our screen, fighting by clicking "fight button" and we talk to each other by internet connection. Most of us never meet each other and we only know each other only based on what we play and see in eRepublik. Some are our enemies and some are our friends. We hate our enemies and we want to crush them for good in game. But there's something important that many of us don’t realize or ignored, not all of our enemies are bad in RL . Even most of us has ordinary life. Working in the office, have beautiful wife(s) and kid(s). This meeting is important to avoid missintrepretation and RL hatred, also strengthening the friendship between eRepublik players all around the world at the same time.

-Why Indonesia?-

There are several reason why Indonesia is the best choice to become the first host of Regional Meeting for Asia-Australia :

1. Indonesia eRepublik community holds meetings regularly. Some city (such as Jakarta) hold "mini" eRepublik meeting once a week even just for futsal or "paint ball" games.




2. Indonesia has strong eRepublik community. Even if someone got banned from eRepublik, he will try to attend eRepublik meeting.

3. Conclusion from point no. 1 and 2. Indonesia has many experience holding eRepublik meeting wheter it's big or just mini meeting.




Yes, sadly all of them are real players, not multies.

4. Indonesia will hold The Second National Gathering in Yogyakarta. The committee for The Second National Gathering are fully prepared for the meeting. They are experienced in organizing big meetings for (possibly) 50-100 people or above from all islands in Indonesia.

5. Indonesia has a low living cost in real life than its neighbour countries (thanks to lower currency rate). You can get same product with cheaper price here. Including cheaper accommodation.

6. Many people from Australia, Malaysia, China, Philippines, Singapore etc already go to Indonesia for vacation or business.

My friends had talked with Dendi_Uzumaki, as the chief organizer of Indonesia National Gathering and foreign people from eChina, eAustralia, eSouth Korea and other countries about this plan. All of us agreed with this meeting. Dendi also agreed about this polling system to decide when and where eRepublik international meeting will be held (it doesn’t have to be Yogyakarta).

-Location-

Based on the criteria that must be met for a city to be an eRepublik International Meeting host such as cost, accomodation, transportation, number of eRepublik active players who live there, and sightseeing places, I proudly present some (from many) beautiful cities in Indonesia. This information can be used to choose which city you prefer to hold The First eRepublik Asia-Australia Regional Meeting in the polling bellow.

1. Jakarta
Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Located on the northwest coast of Java, Jakarta is the country's economic, cultural and political centre, and with a population of over 9,000,000, it is the most populous city in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia, and is the thirteenth-largest city in the world. Definitely easy to access even from foreign countries and has many beautiful sites and vast range of cuisine from all over Indonesia.



2. Semarang
Semarang is a unique city because we can find warm weather in the low land and a cold weather in the high land there. Here, we can find many heritage constrution that still exist until today such as Lawang Sewu, Srigunting Park, etc.



3. Surabaya
Surabaya is located in East Java and one of the most developed city in Indonesia. As the main seaport and commercial center in the eastern region of Indonesia, Surabaya has become one of the largest cities in Southeast Asia. Easy to access from land, air and water. Surabaya people also known for their kind hearted and politeness. It comes with many beautiful scenery such as Suramadu bridge (the 3rd longest bridge in the world), Surabaya Zoo, Cheng Ho mosque, House of Sampoerna etc.



4. Bandung
Bandung is known as Paris van Java because it has many beautiful and vacation sites. Cool breeze mountain sightseeing, the biggest telescope in South East Asia and many others. Bandung is widely known as one of the most favourite place for vacation in Indonesia. Bandung has cooler temperatures all year-round than most other Indonesian cities and is one of the most beautiful city in Indonesia.



5. Yogyakarta
It is renowned as a centre of classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry, and puppet shows. Yogyakarta is the second most important tourist destination in Indonesia after Bali. Most tourists come to Yogyakarta for its strong Javanese culture and tradition. This makes it prominent among other Javanese cities. Along with Surakarta or Solo, a city lying about 64 km to the east, Yogyakarta is the centre of Javanese culture.



Actually, i want to add several other beautiful city in Indonesia such as Bali, Raja Ampat, Samarinda, Pekanbaru etc. But considering the high cost it needs to hold a meeting there (transportation and accomodation), and since many Indonesia player lives in Java, i regrettably remove those cities from the list.

-The Poll-

We will decide it democratically by polling system. Each one of us shall select the best option according to our decision. This poll result will be announced at 23 February 2012.

1.Indonesia National meeting at 23rd March 2012 in Yogyakarta will be changed to eRepublik International Meeting and it will be held at the same time with eRepublik International Meeting in Europe in july.

2.Indonesia National meeting will stay as National meeting and we will select another city to hold International Meeting at July, at the same time with International Meeting in Europe.

This form is for those of you who would like to come to the Regonal Meeting and although they are not sure they can make it yet, they are willing to do what's necessary to come. Naturally those who want to come and know that they will be there have to complete the form too.
