A ) FOOD
What does this mean to buyers?
Ex: Q3 (< $1.20) = buy Q3 if under $1.20.
Good choice: Q3 (< $0.10), Q4 (< $0,13), Q2 (< $0,07)
Fair choice: Q5 (< $0,20)
Bad choice: Q1, Q6, Q7
B ) WEAPONS
What does this mean to buyers?
Good choice: Q2 (< $2.00), Q3 (< $3.30)
Fair choice: Q6 (< $12.50), Q7
Bad choice: Q1, Q4, Q5
C ) What does this mean for businessmen/women?
Buy Weapon Raw Industries !
Good investment (long term profit): weapon raw materials (WRM). WRM's price is stabilizing itself between $0.06 and $0.12, yet still way higher than for food raw material. One could invest in an iron mine ($1500) and get a return on investment in about 400 days (vs 480 days for saltpeter mine, 1875 days for a grain farm). With current game mechanics, it is possible that eRepublik administrators lower the initial cost for raw material industries - otherwise the market will become highly incompetitive.
Food Industries
Investing in food is not profitable at the moment. Q6 & Q7 food sellers make money on eCitizens who either cannot afford extra storage space, or who waste money on expensive food (those who do not use the Opportunity Cost tool).
A ) NOURRITURE

Q2s have become a good choice for those not wanting to fight barehanded but have very little cash
might make a big difference in saving energy against a Q7
Great Analysis!
~hyuu~
thanks for shouting this article plugson! I'm glad i got the chance to read this great analysis!
I agree, Plugson, buying Q2 weapons really does help saving on food, especially against Q7.
Thanks everyone! Your interest and feedback keep me very motivated. I have seen better and thorough economical analysis in eRep, but I still love writing this kind of article. I hope this can help you out in practice!
