Good morning everypony,
When I checked the party-page recently I saw that banner telling there will be some changes in political module. From my experience I can tell that those changes have been more important for small countries like Germany/Denmark than they are for big ones (Just look at how Citizenships changed things). So what can we expect? Honestly I don’t know but there have always been good ideas.
Ban someone from a Party
That would be a great addition as there will be no internal and external Party-TOs anymore. If someone wants to TO a party he has to found his own party and waste gold. It’s also possible that the foundation of new Parties will be made more costly.
Ingame Ministers
Since 2008 every government had Ministers. It’s just fair to move on and make it an ingame-feature. One could take the most important ones: MoD being able to set the Campaign of the day and pressing the attack button, MoF having access to national treasury, MoFa being able to set the current alliance of the country (if they do ingame-alliances) etc.
New Government-Systems
Yeah, it’s eRepublik, so a democratic system is given. But there are many types of different types. The current system is more a anglostyle democracy. One could hope for having the choice to adapt something like the german model where there are Party-Lists of candidates.
Surveys
Well at the moment when there are things like “which alliance do we chose” a president can only let the congress vote. Ingame surveys can help keeping in touch what people in the country think.
National Ideas
Yes, this is a rip off from Europa Universalis, but national Ideas could be a nice addition. There could be an Idea like “Warrior society” (+5% influence, -5% industrial output) or “Neutrality” (-50% influence in offensive battles, +20% influence in defensive battles) or something like “Rebel suppression” (there can only be one RW at a time). This could be set at every president’s campaign and cannot be changed for the whole month.
I think I’ll stop here; there are tons of other ideas about this. Everything has been said, now the admins have the opportunity to do something great.
It might also just be an addition where you can buy votes for gold, so don’t be disappointed when they fail as usually.
Ps: The ones who don't have the result of the Bernd-Test™ will get their results most likely today.

The best thing, imo, would be to add some administrative tools to the parties.
I don't know how they should be executed, but it would probably make PTO's less likely..
However, were these changes enfored, then I guess PTO's would be even harder to get rid of?
National ideas are very interesting, I remember one article a few months ago in the US press, which was really detailed on this thing´, with four different government styles and according economy models.
But dream on, I guess the update will only change things on party level.

they should do sth about economy too... foodraw is at 0.01 now in eRussia and it doesn't seem like this is just the effect of the 'morning-production'. with foodraw at 0.01 only the foodprices will go down more when the bot goes down (at the moment he is at 0.06cc per quality). in relation the rawprice will be more expensive (because it can't go down too when food goes down).

admins always seemed to be trying to avoid this from happening - so i hope they will do sth about the economy in the next days...

dh wenn man 4offizielle kandidaten hat und einen bösen PTO-buben der sich in letzter sekunde noch aufstellt (oder sogar am anfang und dann vom PP gar nicht gelöscht werden kann?) und alle finden die partei gut und voten für die partei, dann kommen alle und somit auch der PTOler in den kongress?
oder die blocker können zwar immernoch die plätze blockieren, aber in einer beliebten partei/partei mit vielen votes ist das risiko für die blocker am anfang der liste rel. hoch dann doch gewählt zu werden bzw kann gar nicht groß zielgerichtet beeinflusst oder überhaupt verhindert werden

Selbstverständlich wird die Liste ein paar Veränderungen mit sich bringen. Dennoch halte ich eine Liste für besser. Das ist nicht nur deshalb so, weil wir sie im RL auch haben. Durch Listen erlang so viele Sitze, wie ihr nach dem Stimmen auch zustehen. Durch das bisherige System war dies nicht gewährleistet, indem Stimmen für nicht gewählte Kandidaten wirkungslos blieben.
@ eisenmutter2: Ja, das ist ein mögliches Szenario. Bloß passt es für mich nicht zusammen, dass eine so beliebte Partei nur 4 Kandidaten (+ 1 PTOler) aufstellt. Eine Partei mit nur 4 Kandidaten scheint eine eher unbeliebte Partei zu sein, die diese vier Leute wohl auch aus Verlegenheit aufgestellt hat.
