[CP] Way Forward

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,
Everything is proceeding well. Congress is currently looking towards another month of 30 Congressional Seats - hopefully breaking the chain of proposals that haven't passed in weeks! We have three battles open around the clock and in combination with an immediate support-policy of Resistance Wars the maximum amount is to be achieved by our citizens. We've had several engaging contests (thank you, ElGorro and JackTrout!) and thanks to the recent increase in gold prices, we have managed to make more than half a million in CC profit! We have even been joyed with the landing of new citizens from abroad like Fhaemita and Feynmann - Welcome (back)!

Sounds all pretty boring, right? If it were for me alone we'd be fighting wars again, but luckily I'm being constrained by my advisors and real life limitations. Above all, my presidency serves to protect the path of progress that we've enjoyed the last few months against cynicism and outright obstructionism. We're doing pretty good in that regard, so far. Too bad it also results in the over-satisfaction of some of us, that lay down their arms and fallaciously rejoice in their content: Step up your game!


Inspecting Congress

There is much to be done to not only ensure your continued viability, but also to gradually improve our relative situation. After an interesting discussion in the Feed we can summarize our position as hopeful defeatism. I've always believed that the perpetuate 'preparing' makes everything we do in vain, be it 'training' or accumulating massive amounts of money. It is an easy excuse to do nothing at all, neither exploiting our current power nor capitalizing on it to improve it. We indulge in the thought that currently we're doing better than the horrible years of that preceded us, instead of considering it a mere and poor station on a road that will never end.

In this context, I'm happy to announce that the Government has, besides ensuring continuity, improving some matters. The budget for the 'Green Beret'-Program is essentially quadrupled, as it is being recognized that the establishment of more 'Legend' Ranks is essential. Currently we have just one high-ranking Legend (Weekstrom) with pack usage. This will be augmented with the possibility for discounts or loans on packs, coming from the massive amounts on the Monetary Market. Do your part - if you are active and have a reasonably high strength rate, you will be supported every step of the way.

Just like the Green Beret supports ambition and accomplishments, so will the Housing Program. The Houses are not 'freebies', but rewards for actual accomplishments. They are only purposeful when the additional health is used to fight in addition to additionally working more times a day. Simply being online once a day for a short while is not enough to exploit the benefits of the expensive Houses gifted by the eDutch Government. Therefore, in future renditions there will be a strict XP threshold, which means that on average a reasonably high amount of XP will need to be gained.
