[CP] Political Titles, Ireland and Organisations

Day 1,789, 15:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Talon Karrde

My Friends,

It’s been a mostly quiet couple of days, though there are a few things I need to bring to your attention today.

As I said last time, I’m going to steal somebody else’s style for these announcements, simply because I’ve always thought it’s the most simple and easy to understand; so thanks to Addy Lawrence for this!

ON THE NHS

Did you know, oh young players, that you can receive free health every day, courtesy of the NHS? Simply send a private message to Blue and Evil and he’ll sign you up! If you want more info on it and how it works, he’s your port of call.

ON THE GOVERNMENT’S MEDIA PRESENCE…

More articles released for you to read. TWO by Beta: HERE, and HERE. Be sure to read, vote, subscribe and comment on those articles!

The latest MoD orders article is HERE - well worth a read.

ON CABINET…

Cabinet has continued very strongly since I last spoke to you. By the time you get my next update each minister should have a report ready for you to see what they’ve been up to. I did promise updates last time, but they’re telling me they haven’t been able to do so yet. They’re all working well though so we can forgive them that!

ON USING ORGANISATIONS TO MAKE MONEY

As I mentioned last time we’re increasing our income using orgs. We have a list of 15 or so we can use on top of those we’re already using, but that we don’t have emails for- I’ve ticketed the admins to get those emails changed so that we can access these orgs. That should give us roughly 60 to use, these could generate a massive amount of income compared to taxes, so we’ll see what that looks like in a couple of weeks, and may well review taxes at that point.

POLITICAL TITLES

The admins have introduced political titles into the game, giving us access to various different ones on both the party and country level.

Country wise, we have:

Prime Minister- I’ve given this one to Blue and Evil, as it’s the closest to my MoLA of those available.

Minister of Education - Betafoxtrot, our guide writing, public informing maestro, has been given this title.

Governor- The equivalent to our MoF, perhaps like the Governor of the bank of England. I’ve given this one to Ergo Deus, as he’s vCP, and since Carlini8 is in Poland for bonuses and thus ineligible for a UK title.

Minister of Foreign Affairs-
Does exactly what it says on the tin, and given to Kravenn.

Minister of Defence- currently vacant as Count Drakula is in Poland for us, for bonuses and making the government money.

I’ve also asked the admins for some extra titles, so I’ll let you know if that results in anything. It looks like each country has the same titles, so any UK specific ones are unlikely to be implemented.

ON THE POLITICAL PARTY SUMMIT…

My VP Ergo Deus came up with the idea of a Party Summit for all UK parties, as I mentioned in my last report. I’m mentioning it here again to make sure people know about it and remember to appear tomorrow afternoon- at 2pm. Come onto IRC and query ErgoDeus!

ON IRELAND…

Ireland passed the ‘No NE’ law today, and so we’re one rather big step closer to ending the war. This enabled me to propose THIS LAW, proposing peace outright with Ireland…… Or with ourselves, as the language in the law suggests! This is simply a display bug and will end up with peace with Ireland, though peace within is of course a worthy goal too.

On the battlefield, we attacked Shannon as late as possible, in order for Ireland to defend it while the UK sleeps. It’s been noted that they don’t get a lot of damage during the night, and this is true enough, but waiting as long as possible to attack means less battles before peace is signed, meaning less regions lost, and so I opted to attack then before auto-attack, a game mechanic by which, if you have an open war, you automatically attack a region after 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Ireland looks to be successfully RWing Mayo, and hopefully we can give them back their regions as quickly as possible.

I'd like to remind all UK citizens and allies not to fight Ireland in these battles, and that we remain committed to peace with our neighbours.

That’s it for today, stay tuned for more announcements in the future.

Country President
