[CP] On The Germany NE and New Missions

ON THE GERMANY NE


About half an hour ago Germany proposed an NE against us. I responded in kind by immediately proposing our own NE against them. Thankfully it’s half term so not only was I able to do this, but I was also able to find the German CP, FHK (In fact a friend of mine) on IRC to discuss the situation. Basically, we are Germany’s only option for a war just now, and with the new missions out today requiring a natural enemy, we were the obvious choice for this. That said, they have no wish for a protracted conflict and while we are technically ‘enemies,’ we don’t necessarily want to be so.

And so it was decided by both sides, that this war will be for training, bonuses and to complete the missions only. It will end with both countries retaining our current regions, on good terms, and slightly less bored because of the fun that we’ve had.

We have both agreed that neither nation plans to take a region belonging to the other, but that this may well happen anyway due to the unpredictability of war. If this is the case, the regions can just be RW’d, and the other nation will not fight in that RW- allowing extra medals to be taken too.

Now, as both I and my ministers have told you over the last week or so- we did have a TW planned with Belgium. We have unfortunately had to cancel this for now, for one reason- in case Germany are pulling a fast one. I really don’t think they are, and I certainly trust FHK completely, but it just makes sense not to get caught up in another war in case anything goes wrong with this one. The Belgian CP has been contacted and I have extended my apologies for breaking our gentlemen’s agreement to have a war. I would hope that they will still be receptive to a training war after the Germany one has ended.

I was also contacted today by Ireland, expressing their wish to have a training war with us at this time. I originally said no due to us already having a commitment to Belgium, and now that answer extends to include Germany too. My apologies to them that we are unable to cater to their need at this time. If only Belgium and Ireland shared a border!

In terms of the first battle, we’ve agreed that it will open immediately after the German NE proposal passes, giving us maximum time to complete the NE mission and giving us some fun right from the off. See you on the battlefield!


ON THE NEW MISSIONS


The new missions are out! Make sure you have a look and see what it’ll take for you to complete them. The government has made sure you’ll be able to complete the NE mission from tomorrow onwards, so look out for our battles with Germany when they open.
