(anti) TO actions around the world

Dear Citizens of the New World,

I am writing you because I think all of you should see the real threats of this game, the TO’s. For people who don’t know what a TO is I will give a short explanation.

TO
TO is short for a takeover. This means not a takeover by military force but by corrupting the election results. In real life there are countries where votes aren’t counted in a fair way, we call these countries corrupt. In erepublik you can’t influence the counted votes (as far as we know), but you can influence the number of people voting in a country. So when you have a small active population in a country, some people from another country go to your country and just vote on their candidate to gain control over your country. Once they have control they can steal money from the treasury or retreat the country of the map.

Romania
At this moment Romania is the master of these takeovers, in the past when they were in a very bad situation where Russia had a lot of Alliances against Romania fighting. Romania was losing big time but they just took over Russia’s presidency and retreated all Russian regions to Romania. Lately Romania did a takeover in Pakistan to get access into Asia, and to block Indonesia from attacking them!

Bad Example
Romania has been a very bad example to the eWorld. A lot of other countries have decided to follow Romania’s way of unconventional methods to gain more power and regions in the eWorld. Lately Great Brittan and Spain have performed some takeovers or at least tried to.

PEACE anti-TO

Since Romania started to perform these takeovers there came a louder voice within PEACE to do something against this. We started to develop an anti-TO team which can intervene in TO actions around the world. PEACE hopes the TO’s will be finished soon when the admins will implement citizenship. Until that moment in time we need to be aware at every elections to prevent TO’s from happening.

Russia
We expect that Russia will be the next take over target from the Romanians. Russia has a very strategic position in Asia and their location is essential for the process of continuing to expand their empire. As PEACE we will do anything we can to prevent this TO from happening.
