[TIHCE] The International Halloween Community Event

Day 4,355, 12:49 Published in Netherlands Poland by Shawtyl0w

Dear readers from all over the eWorld,

We, the eNetherlands Productions team - Shawtyl0w, rainy sunday, Feynmann and Janty F, present to you, The International Halloween Community Event. In about a week the whole eWorld will start the celebration of Halloween followed by events such as the eRepublik anniversary, Black Friday and Christmas.

We decided to join our combined effort to bring back some of the social and more entertaining aspects of the eCommunity with a series of contests.

The International Halloween Community Event

We start with Halloween, as it is coming soon both in real life and also in eLife.

There’s hardly anyone who hasn't heard of Halloween or participated in one or another aspect of its modern-day celebration – whether it’s a weird costume party or scary movies or wasting tasty pumpkins on non-instagrammable lanterns. For the Hermione Grangers kind of know it all amongst you please click here for more information on the deep roots of Halloween.

And here, in the eWorld, Plato usually offers us some pumpkins and creepy-looking battlefields.

Because of its popularity we saw Halloween as an opportunity to make the game both more fun for everyone and provide the eWorld with a glimpse of the different cultures and communities from all over the real World.

Halloween, represents the 1 day of the year when the real world and the world of mythology collide. The constant companion of human civilization since it’s very dawn – fear of the unknown, in whatever form suits the dominating mythology. The evil, the spirits of the dead, the supernatural, the Reaper, the zombies, IT, etc.

Every culture on Earth has stories and myths about evil, heroes battling evil, mocking evil, religious and purely ethnic rites and celebrations, stories, novels, poems, runestones... you name it.

So, to broaden our horizons outside of Halloween, we ask you to share with us a piece of your own culture, nation, religion, ethnicity, etc. in the form of an article. We ask you to share with us all:

• A Fairy tale
• A Horror story
• A Ghost story
• A Legend or a myth
• A story about heroes or villains
• Stories made up by your family or local community
• A horror story made up by you
• A story about cryptids

Feel free to change the narrative of the story into something 'Halloween like' - but make sure you also reference the original story so others can learn more about your culture.

To enter the competition we ask you to publish an article and comment the link below. We will then include your article as hyperlink in this article for everyone to read. Your article should contain a title, at least 2 paragraphs of text and at least 1 image or video.

You can enter the event with any story as long as you provide us with a link in the comment section before November 17, 2019 (Day 4,380). We will act as judges and select 10 winners!!! Prizes will consist of food, weapons and currency.
