Making friends in the eRepublik

Friends have many benefits in the eRepublik. From helping you learn to play to reading your articles to the social interaction the eRepublik offers. One question... How do you make friends? You can't just walk up to someone and say do you want to be my friend? Well you can, sort of, anyways...
1. Political Party - Joining a political party can have many benifits. You'll be surrounded by citizens with a common goal of political power. There is a lot of interaction here and forums with only a few 100 people so you can get plenty of interaction here on a smaller scale. When you join a political party go to the party members page and ask EVERYONE to be your friend.
2. Military Unit - Here's another group of citizens that are outside your political party where you can make new friends. Join one and start friend requesting right away!
3. Article Reading - This can be tedious but when you read an article go down the list of commenters and ask them to be your friend. For one thing you know they're active.
4. Buying Friends - Everyone loves a person who gives out free stuff. Post an article that says:
FREE FOOD or FREE TANKS! Just VOTE + SUBSCRIBE + SHOUT + ADD FRIEND!
5. Who's online? - This is the fastest way to add friends. Go to the country society page, scroll down to Online now, and click on Who. This will show you EVERYONE who's online right now, either in your country or everyone in the world. Go right down the list and click on everyone's profile page and start friend requesting! They're online so they'll accept within minutes! Within a few minutes time you'll get 10, 20, 30 friends! If you have an hour to kill you can add a hundred friends easily.
There are other ways to add friends, but these are the easiest ways to build up your friends list.

Vote, but I am very weary of your payouts.. they seem TOO GOOD to be true. I hope you have read the history of eBanking here.
I have, and was around during the downfall of the banking industry. I've done the math and am making a profit along with my customers making a profit also. I have 32 accounts and have been people back in a very timely manner. No complaints.
