After I bored you a few days ago with some ideas for an Economical Module Revamp, today I am proposing a new idea for the military module, an idea that is based on adding a bit of tactics to the game. The best way to explain to you my idea, is to show you by example, so please, follow the following train of thinking:

The basic idea is this, add bonuses for attacking a province on multiple fronts. Here's hot it works:

Let's say Romania wants to attack Vojvodina, a serbian province. It has two provinces neighbouring it, Southern Great Plain and Banat. Therefore, it can attack on two fronts, shown on the map by the red arrows. So, i propose adding a 5% bonus to it's damage for every extra province it has capable of creating an extra front line. In this case, Romania would get a 5% bonus to it's attack on Serbia, as it can attack on two fronts, the original one + an extra one.

Another example: Let's assume now that Hungary want's to take Southern Great Plain from Romania. It can create three fronts, shown by the blue arrows. Therefore, it can get a 10% bonus on attack, as it has two extra front lines, apart from the original one.

Oobviously, the 5% bonus can be discussed, maybe 3% or 4% would be better, but I think that implementing an idea such as this would bring a whole new level of thinking to the game, adding real tactics and warfare planning. It would also bring a bit more realistic approach to the game, as sorrounded provinces would be very hard to defend, something that is actually true.

What do you think?
