WHPR Day 1345

1: News and Notes.

2: Pump It Up Plan.

3: Just publish the damn thing already.

News and Notes

First off, when the President publishes the kind of awesomesauce he's been churning out, what's a poor SoM to do? Don't miss a single issue of TKC ever. And I smell another great article under construction as we speak, possibly with some results from the report cards you all filled in.

If you still live in California, move. Go to Iowa. In fact, if you are reading this from any occupied territory, it is time to come home. Make contact here if you want assistance funding your journey into the Tall Corn Fields. (Iiiioowaaay, Iiiioowaaay, that's where the tall corn grows.) If you have a link to that song, btw, post it in the comments below. Midi version doesn't count.

Tonight it seems like (cross your fingers) the Wigs have corrected the problem with Media pages not loading. Perhaps it was the tickets that did it... I started sending tickets about it and asking others to do the same. Broken game was broken but seems to be working again.

I've seen more than a few questions circulating about the loss of California. Yes, Serbia is on the march. In this fine piece of journalism, The Libertine formerly known as CRoy predicted that Serbia would attempt a coup of Texas to fulfill an ancient wet dream fantasy that has absolutely no reasonable explanation. He wrote that over a month ago, so kudos. Great White House minds are plotting ways to foil this wicked plan. Meanwhile, Hungary just put down the resistance in TX, Serbia has taken Arizona, which means for the moment that all Serbia needs to do is polka their way through New Mexico and Texas will be handed to them by Hungary. While losing Texas to Serbia just for their personal lulz would hurt, it may end up being less important than continuing to press forward on our otherwise brilliantly executed strategy to press back the Spaniards. Stay tuned to NBS and DoD for the latest battle orders.

Pump It Up

The Pump It Up Plan is the Department of Media's answer to all those cheap gimmicky vote-generating schemes you are too embarrassed to admit you've voted but too damn poor to resist shouting/voting/subscribing. Fool. Do this instead.

WHPR will post a question here. You have 2 days to write up an answer in your newspaper. There are no rules or guidelines as to HOW you should answer the question (for instance perhaps all you decide to do is post a single link to a single photo that perfectly answers the question. On the other hand perhaps you decide to write 6,000 words on the topic and submit that. Either way go nuts).

When you publish your answer to the question, title your article as follows:

[WHPR PIU] your title goes here

The object of Pump It Up is to increase readership, subscriptions, and overall participation in the Media module of eRepublik. So to that end, be sure to read every [WHPR PIU}-labeled article, and if you like the author's answer, vote.

The participant whose [WHPR PIU]-labled article receives the highest vote tally will be awarded with a special Government award that only your Government can award.

In order to participate in Pump It Up, you must:

Publish your answer to the PIU question in your personal newspaper before the end of eRep day 1,347 (the end of Friday night).

Include the tag [WHPR PIU] at the front of your article's title.

Post a link to your article in the comments section of this WHPR.

Final vote tallies will be counted and a winner will be declared on day 1349, Monday August 1 at 4:00 eRep time. (7AM EST Monday August 1).
