I mean, if you only knew the stuff that is going on at the highest levels, it would blow you away. Oh, Man do you wish you were part of this…

I wish I could share it with you. But even the WHPR has limits on what can be disseminated amongst the populace. But let me tell you. HUGE.

But until I am authorized to release anything truly Blockbuster, (tick tick tick tick tick tick…) I will continue to introduce you to your Government, and offer an official viewpoint on the issues. Also, enjoy the Easter Eggs.

Focus on: Department of Defense

The DoD has hands full. The variables of multiple enemies combined with our regions-held changing on a daily basis, an otherwise simple question like, “where should we establish our Capital?” becomes complicated.

But we are in good hands. Alexander_Auctoritas (A^2) sat down with me for a few minutes. Here’s what I learned.



First of all, meet A^2. He’s been VP of the SEES party 4 times, USWP dCOS, a Congressman, and has a decorated career in the Military. He is a TC Honor Graduate, was Ranger Team 1 CO, a Major in the Cavalry, and continues to serve in the USAF. And he is your Secretary of Defense.


Strategists

He has taken on a team of Strategists to help work out the dynamic formulas for staying un-wiped and gradually (rea😛 strategically) recovering our states through RW’s, blocking maneuvers (this is why you are sometimes told to fight “against eUSA” in a RW – we sometimes need one of our enemies to occupy a state to prevent another of our enemies the border access that territory provides), swapping maneuvers (like a block, using an ally to block instead of an enemy), and helping our allies whenever possible. DoD strategists are Vanek26, BradleyReala, Avruch, and shadow6463. Like I said, we are in good hands.


Battle Coordinators

A group of Battle Coordinators has been chosen to direct Citizens to the proper battles. Oblige, N I K A N, and Chickensguys are the your Battle Coordinators. When you see a shout from a Battle Coordinator directing damage, follow their instructions. Spend whatever damage you’ve got at that time. The better your response to our Battle Coordinators, the more effective our DoD will be. The NBS will be updated as frequently as possible with direct orders from Battle Coordinators, so you can also count on NBS.

You can find a Battle Coordinator on IRC. Just click this #eUS-War Mibbit Link. Look for a Battle Coordinator first (protip: just type their names into the chat room and this automatically PINGs them.) Ask them where to spend your damage. This system is set up specifically because Citizen Damage is more critical than ever in today’s eRepublik. Your fights count most when they are coordinated.


Office of Militia Support

I idle in my Militia IRC room quite a bit (EZCo FTW!!!), and there is almost always an OMS presence there (kudos Vanek26). This term, Talio_Extremist and Sideswipe will be administrating the OMS. Militias are very important in a guerilla-style war situation, as they deliver a predictable amount of damage in a concentrated way. If you are not in the USAF, you really ought to be in a Militia. For my part, Easy Company permits me absolute flexibility with the rest of my eRepublik life, so they are a perfect fit for me. Find a Militia that suits your personality. Militia Links are at the bottom of this WHPR.


Final Thoughts

A^2 is placing a high priority on spreading responsibility wisely among reliable individuals to prevent burnout. Today’s war module is a non-stop game mechanic. This, of course, turns us all into full-time gamers. No one is harder pressed than our Military Leadership.

So let’s hear it for our Department of Defense!



Party Politics

Every month the Party President elections take place and almost nobody in the Media gives a damn. I have done it in 16 Shells so I know it is a lot of work. But in order to inspire some better coverage in the eUS Media, and to jump-start any of you enterprising Political Correspondents (hint, hint) out there, the WHPR would like to provide for you the following list of Candidates who have announced (with links to any Media announcement) their candidacy. WHPR cannot list every eAmerican Political Party, and a line has to be drawn somewhere, so we are reporting only top 5 Parties (despite my personal affinity for several 6th Parties.) Note: I know that many candidates declare their candidacy and are not “legitimate” candidates in the eyes of the Party. It will be the job of our Nation’s News Media to find the stories, choose which candidates to report on and not, maybe sniff out the PTO’s… they are in there.
