The Economist ~ Notes on the French org fiasco

Dear friends,


A very brief article today in support of the French people and government who have lost the bulk of their savings - months and months of hard work whilst under TWO occupation - to a thief. This theft, despicable as it was, was compounded by a series of errors made by the admins- errors I am only too familiar with. In the past so many times has the treasury of countries been lost due to unhelpful admins.

Recently the UK lost a large sum of money (total is still unknown) and the admins failed to help. TWO lost access to their org because of the incompetence of previous HQ members, a week later and tickets still haven’t been dealt with (this is for a five minute piece of work which affects the game of some fifty one thousand players in TWO.

In the past we’ve seen thefts where the admins have returned the money, allowed the player to keep it, banned the player, banned the org that the money was stolen from- even banned the President for no apparent reason. There appears to be no set policy and despite the obviously massive importance that org security plays in the gameplay of all citizens no actual coded solution has been developed. As Brian Boru said earlier in #eUK, collective ownership is a sin in the eyes of the admins.

After all these years we have no proper solution, but this time the admins have totally lost the plot. In some sort of mad attempt at emulation of King Solomon the admins have burned all of the money stolen. The French government understandably does not want it’s proverbial baby cut in half, and has begged the admin to reconsider- even suggesting that letting the thief keep it is better since they can at least beg him to return it. In doing this the admins have simply gone too far. To burn 3m currency and 8000 gold - which together makes the equivalent of €7300 of bought gold - is a blatant slap in the face to players everywhere. The citizens of France have saved long and hard to gather than money, it was probably supposed to be their last throw of the dice to get away from TWO occupation.

Now even as a TWO player- actually current leader of the alliance- I can’t stand by and see that sort of injustice. So yes I’m adding my voice to the French, and hope that the admins see sense.
