PTO Averted
Late last night the Pizza-led Republican Party gained a number of new members and unseated the United Independents Party as the #5 Party in the US. A committee of high placed US officials was formed and a plan was made to designate exactly which candidates must be voted into office, to assure a mathematical defeat of all Pizza-led Republican candidates.
I spent considerable time developing an article explaining what had happened and urging Americans to go along with this program. Just before publishing I went to the #ATO room to check the latest news and status, and learned that the crisis had ended.
The eRepublik Admins have found some sort of irregularities with some of the new Pizza-led Republican Party members and/or candidate placements. The Pizza-led Republican Party has been removed from the US Top Five Parties and the UIP has been restored.
As of 0930 hours it's being reported that the UIP candidates are not appearing on ballot pages. If you wish to vote for a UIP candidate, please hold your vote as long as possible to allow eRep Admins to try to correct this anomaly.
The Pizza-led PTO of America has been averted!

Can you explain why GlaDOS is an "official" candidate for Delaware (in other articles) for those of us not in the know? Kind of confusing considering his past. Should I be sending my vote to DesertFalcon?
I'd say vote for DesertFalcon. He is a longtime American who knows what he is talking about.

BishopM: overnight there was a Committee and a List, as Democracy was suspended under the emergency circumstances. but now with the threat abated, we revert to the original complete list of candidates and are not bound to vote according to that overnight list. Desertfalcon is the Official candidate of the Federalist Party in Delaware. -|- AcidSnow: I've got the UIP as the Number Five Party right now, tied in number of members with the ADTP; please see http://www.erepublik.com/en/rankings/parties/1/24 BUT as I look on each State's "results page" I am not seeing any UIP candidates.

While Glados is a RL American, he still owes me a beer btw...last night's FEC selections were a bit sketchy, but it was a necessary evil to prevent a country-wide pto. I would suggest that members who had an issue with last night's candidate selection to send your thoughts to the FEC as appropriate. However, election protocols have returned to normal. I wish UIP may reenter today's elections as planned so ajay's pto attempt does not hamper the full freedom of our democracy by taking our rights from voting for legitimate candidates who worked very hard only to be rolled by pizza and his minions.

Just an FYI custer - UIP most likely won't end up on the ballot. We were able to get the Republicans removed, but it doesn't sound like UIP will be put on the ballot. In the past, the admin has just removed a party and that's been a perfect situation for a nation since the parties remaining on the ballot were the only official ones. The US is in a situation with an all official top 5. This isn't the same around the world and the admins don't have the code ready and foolproof to add a party back onto the ballot. If they can get it done, it would be awesome, but I have a feeling we've gotten the best present we're going to get. Not perfect, but pretty damn good still.
We might disagree on a great many, many things Custer, but we can both agree that Pizza the Hut is a proven threat to America, and it was a great boon to our country that he and his goons were removed from the ballot.
