Sol Alliance Grows; News, Inc. is Bored

Day 803, 12:23 Published in USA USA by Myles Robinson
Israel Joins the Sol Alliance

As North America and Europe continue to be engaged in the increasingly-boring EDEN vs Phoenix skirmishes, the Sol Alliance is working to strengthen its ranks, expand its borders, and grow in order to defend against the threats posed primarily by the domineering alliance that is Phoenix. The Israeli Foreign Minister has announced that country's intent to join Sol, which will be a boon to their attempts to survive constant antagonisms by Turkey. Israel is adamant in letting it be known, however, that they appreciate the support of the United States and Greece in their constant struggle and look forward to maintaining close, strong relations with those two countries.

With Israel's entrance into Sol, it joins nations China, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. For reference, the United States, India, Canada, Hungary, Japan, Argentina, the United Kingdom, and a handful of other nations are all considered to have observer status in the alliance. Japan was once a member of the alliance, but withdrew in protest of the allowance of the Theocrats (at that time occupying South Korea) to participate in war games; there are frequently rumbling among Japanese citizens to once again bolster relations with Sol. Pakistan was also once a member, but when they betrayed the Asian and Oceanic nations by allowing Serbia free access all the way towards India, they were expelled from the alliance.

In the global struggle between Phoenix and EDEN, Sol is officially neutral and has long tried to maintain a hold of their neutrality in the conflict. Yet, Phoenix has constantly threatened and attacked the nations of Sol-- South Africa, Malaysia, Australia, and China have been attacked time and time again by the Indo-Huns and their puppets. Despite this, they cling to their neutrality in an attempt to stave off further assaults on their nations from the superalliances and instead focus on trying to help maintain regional stability and work on making these nations grow in strength. However, due to Phoenix's constant assaults on Sol nations and partially due to both Australia's membership in EDEN and the American attempts to liberate parts of Asia, the alliance does tend to lean somewhat towards EDEN, though this is more for annoyance at Phoenix than any love for EDEN. They maintain neutrality regardless.

There have been murmurs of a possible merger of the Latin American Alliance (ALA) and Sol, but this seems to be unlikely. First of all, members of Sol that this newspaper has spoken with do not really feel like becoming involved with the mess that is South America. Secondly, the region's blatant pro-Phoenix status and the antagonisms of nations like Brazil on South Africa and Australia have chilled relations between ALA and Sol.

3-term President and 10-term congressman Albert Neurath of Thailand is the current chairman of the Sol Alliance, and has stated his goals are to help strengthen Sol and make it a power on the world stage. This is also a common theme among those running for president in many Sol member states. With Israel's addition to the alliance, it looks like they are continuing along the path towards growth and influence on the world stage.

The ever-skilled commentator of global military happenings discusses goings-ons in various Sol member states. Read there for some info on all of what they're doing. Looks like they're having fun. Which brings me to my next point.

News, Inc. is Bored

Yes, I'm bored. There are no battles to fight in. There are no major, divisive debates in our politics right now. The fight in Europe is just reaching the point of dull annoyance right now. We haven't occupied the eUK yet. People stopped talking about how important it is to maintain our focus on taking Heilongjiang to destroy Hungary. The POTUS race is getting a bit old already because there really isn't much of a huge difference between the candidates; only Zoli's is maintaining my interest right now, and that's just because it's Zoli. Emerick is still vanished. And did I mention we haven't occupied the eUK yet?

There's nothing to report on.

Politicians better start pressing some buttons and making argumentative statements about policy. A bored News, Inc. is an unhappy News, Inc. And we wouldn't want that. No more dolphins until things are fun again!
