Israel's Next Step On The Global Stage

Day 800, 20:21 Published in Israel USA by Alexander Valkor II
Shalom My eIsraeli Brothers!

I come before you today as your Minister of Foreign Affairs to announce a change of direction in our foreign policy. In large part, we have been staunch supporters of Atlantis, later Fortis and then EDEN more recently. Atlantis helped us a good deal, Fortis fell apart in the PEACE Invasion of North America and EDEN was... well they were just there.

However we have longtime been allies with the United States and within recent months we rekindled relations with the Greeks after a Turkish embarrassment. This was strengthened by the MPP we signed with Greece and the MPP we've had with the USA for months.

As many will remember, the USA liberated much of Israel along with much of Greece at the same time. I remember this clearly as I was an officer in the United States Mobile Infantry, at the time I was a Captain. In later months I became General and continued to see support for Israel in the Joint Chiefs and other top American officials.

A New Direction

However time now comes for us to reassess the direction we are going. For a long time, especially in recent months, we have catered to the needs of EDEN over ourselves. Our relationship with Greece is good, but not as good as it can be. Our only best friend in this world is America and I know it will continue to be that way.

We also have an issue of a lack of wars. We need wars to train our people and keep ready access to a hospital open. These may seem like separate issues, however you will soon realize they are closely interlinked. We used to have our training wars through the USA-Ireland War Games, however those have been stopped for almost two months. Before that, we were involved in the EDEN War Games occasionally as well. At this point in time, we are now getting into the Sol War Games.

Where We're Heading

Sol. I will be the first to acknowledge that in the past I have been hugely critical of Sol and an avid supporter of joining EDEN. Since then I've been able to step back, look at each alliance, our current standings and our needs and I've had a change of heart. Similarly, many people in the administration also feel that breaking away from EDEN and actively engaging in Sol is our best option. History has proven that neutrality doesn't work however, so we're not only going to work with Sol. We're joining the alliance.

Now many may ask what makes Sol appealing to us. Sol welcomes us. As of last check, Israel had a 75% "yes" voting to a 0% "no" voting. They will respect us as an equal partner and we will have an equal say in the major issues. In Sol, there is a plethora of potential allies.

When Israel was in need, Malaysia worked to help us and we came to a mutual agreement. When the dice were rolled and our last stronghold was being hit, we'd help each other if we could and we did. When our nation was being overrun by the Turks and was under their occupation, the South Africans offered the assistance of their armed forces to fight alongside our troops in the Defense Forces. Also to add in, the American SEAL Team 6 was ready to support us. These are the kind of allies we need.

Let us not forget about the War Games either.

Primary Goals of Our New Policy

1) Get into a war game. These are absolutely necessary to building and maintaining our populations health and to keep up with the global activity.

2) Pick a side. Neutrality doesn't work. Being a zombie doesn't either. We searched around and found what was right for us. Sol.

3) Build our relations with traditional allies and reach out to other countries and build relations.

Closure

In closing, we must understand who are real allies are and what's best for eIsrael. Right now we need friends, not people who seek only to use us or don't care for us. We need to build relations with countries that we don't talk to very much and pursue better relations with our enemies as well. Israel is far outclassed militarily by both nations in our region. Greece is our ally. Turkey is not. We need to create pillars of peace on our borders with Turkey to ensure our national security.

Signed,
Sir Valaro Volcrum
Minister of Foreign Affairs
