[Zoli / Gaius Julius] - Meet the Team [Updated with new members]
As I have promised yesterday, today I'll be presenting the backbone of my Cabinet. I've worked hard to find the best people for each position, people who have proven themselves in the past, and people who have pledged to work hard in February in order to bring back the glory days of the USA.
I would like to tell from the start that there are more then 5 days until elections and I'm still talking with people the enter the team. We are trying to bring a new perspective.
Meet the team - these are the people who already accepted:
Gaius Julius - Vice President
I do not think he needs introduction. I believe he was the best president the USA had. He was elected 3 times as a member of the Congress, he was the Party President of the Federalist Party. Currently he is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
During my mandate his main duties will converge upon foreign policy. He will represent the USA in EDEN and will directly oversee the activities of the Secretary of State. The main goal for February will be the strengthening of relations with our allies because as we have seen in the last week it seems that the unity of our alliance is on shaky ground.
Tiacha - Chief of Staff
Even the best team needs coordination. I could have not picked a better person then Tiasha - she filled this position during the Scrabman administration in April 2009, and she held many position in previous Governments and Congress: she is a 5 times Secretary of Education, she was Chair of the Government Oversight Committee, Chair of the Military Committee and Deputy Speaker of the House. Beside being a former President of the Federalist Party she was elected 5 times into Congress.
I am sure that both her in game as RL experiences will be of great value.
St Krems - Department of Citizen Affairs, Department of Education and Department of Fun
I believe I could write a short novel about his activity in eRepublik and still leave out some of his achievements. He is an active citizen, a former President of the Feds and 4 times Congressman.He is the Congressional Whip. Currently he is the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Jewitt administration.
But the most important position he still holds is Director of Fun in the Federalist Party. I believe he is going to have the hardest task in the current Government, as he is going to be in charge of the recruitment of new players and of programs that will insure the retention of players. He is going to be the liaison person of the Government with the civil society and he will have a free hand to choose with civil programs will be co-founded the the Government.
He will oversee 3 departments of the Government and will appoint a deputy to each of those departments.
Jude Connors - Campaign and Communication Manager
Jude is one of the bright spots in the US Media. He is a very versatile person, with both a rich political, military and media career.
Jude Connors is running my election campaign. He has been of great assistance in selected the current members of the Cabinet and is helping me pick valuable players for all positions.
After elections he is going to be the official voice of the Cabinet. He will surprize you all, as we are prepared to adopt a more direct communication, something less uptight then what we where used to up to now.
Lucius Varenus - Nominee for Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff
He is one of the masterminds in the US Military. I can only praise his activity during WW3. Currently he is the Commandant of the Marine Corps.He is going to be a key figure in February as we have major plans both for the USA as for EDEN.
Lucius will keep the direct contact with EDEN HQ on military operations.
Leroy Combs - Nominee for Vice-Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff
Leroy is another well know veteran of the US Army. He had an active role in several major operations, including Turkish Delight and WW3. By being the Commanding General of the National Guard he has proven not just his military, but his organizational skill. He is going to oversee all oversea deployments of the US Army.
Rob B - Secretary of State
He is one of the less known members of the cabinet, but I assure you he is an uncut diamond. Rob B is ready to reform and revitalize our state department. Plans ranging from a new communication center for foreign diplomats to communicate with the state department to streamlining our ambassadorial program will help foster improved relations with our allies as well as former enemies and neutral nations. He will give special focus on developing potential friendships that will benefit the United States in the future.
He will focus his activity on neutral and hostile countries.
New member: Alto Deraqwar - Ambassadorial Affairs in hostile countries
Alto Deraqwar is an outstanding negociator. He served several terms as Ambassador of Canada in PEACE / Pheonix countries. His input and experience will be put to great use.
New member 2: PrincessMedyPi - Congressional Liaison
Working together with a team of 50+ is a hard job, but PrincessMedyPi is perfect for the job. Taking into account that I intend to change the tax sistem and the minimum wage, it is important to receive the support of the Congress. The Princess of this cabinet will ensure that the Oval Office and Capitol Hill will work as a real team.
This is the backbone of my Cabinet. Right before elections I'll publish a more detailed list. I am still in negotiations with many valuable people. The current list contains just the people who already accepted to be members of a great adventure.
I believe this team can bring back the "bang" in the daily life of America. Together we will succeed.

It's always a reassuring sign of a Presidential candidate's authenticity and support base when most of his commenting supporters are foreign-born to the eUS.

I'm relaxed. I'm also a little worried that Zoli will actually pull this off because of how uninformed and gullible the average eAmerican is. There are 3-5 Senators (depending on who reported them) currently in office that are PEACE/Pheonix agents sent as a PTO. Another 5 were countered in the last hours of the election. Each of these can naturalize 100 citizens, each of which can vote. Imagine the average eAmerican (read as 2-clicking and uninformed) starts seeing hundreds of (freshly minted) eAmericans advocating Zoli for President. No, considering who he is up against, I very much doubt he can win this month. But next month those 300-500 new voters can PTO more states and bring in more senators. Given this situation, there is a numerical possibility that Zoli could win in March. Obviously this is a worst case scenario but it is worth worrying about.
How would you like to see the eUSA break all ties with EDEN and join PEACE/Phoenix in a conquest of Spain and Greece? Then, in the last days of his administration he gives most states, including Florida and California, to Hungary as a nice little gift. If you aren't just a little bit concerned than I worry for you too.
