Hello everyone. I've been playing eRepublik for some time, and I've finally decided to get down and write myself a newspaper that I hope you all find useful. One of my favorite features things about eRepublik is battles and trying to figure out the underlying strategy involved by EDEN, Phoenix, and the presidents of each individual country. I think I've gained enough experience to actually be able to share my analysis without getting laughed at 🙂. I'll say it here: I am human, I don't have inner access to the inner workings of either alliance, so I could be wrong. Anyway the disclaimer is over.

Despite my affiliations, I try my best to keep my analysis as neutral and unbiased as I can.



I've spoken briefly with Mainegreen, and he's given me permission to use his symbol list. I figure it makes the maps a little easier to look at to know what's going on. Here's the symbol map


Karnataka

With few interesting fights today, a lot of discussion is still dominated with the Indian request to return Karnataka. Otherwise it's a pretty boring day, mostly training wars with a few minor landswaps. Hopefully the rest of the weekend will have more interesting articles. I'll update this article through Saturday, and maybe Sunday as new battles open up.

The resistance war started in East Srpska Republic 6 minutes before an attack by Serbia was successful negating the Serbian attack and returning all but West Srpska Republic back to Bosnian control.


Republic of Moldova attacked Bucovina, Romania

A resistance has started in Tibet, USA and Shandong, Russia

A resistance war has been started by a Hungarian nationalist, likely a damage drain. Same can be said for the resistance war started by a US nationalist in Shandong.


Hungary moves west into Austria; Land bridge in Central Europe dies down

Hungary begins to move west through sovereign Austrian territory, attacking Burgenland, to which Austra retreated, and then Slovakian occupied Lower Austria. I'm not really sure what their plan is, but Hungary might be planning on moving farther west through the land bridge being set up by Austria/Slovenia, or they might not be related at all. I'll keep my eye out on what is going on here in Central Europe throughout the weekend. I also see a resistance war started in Slovakia's Northern Bohemia with little damage on either side, as well as an attack by Slovakia at the Czech Republic's Southern Bohemia.


Sweden attacked Ostlandet, Norway

Sweden has attacked Norway, either to start a training war or open a war with the nations in Norway's MPP list for movement purposes.

Poland attacked Scania, Bohus; Sweden
Sweden landswaps Scania and Bohus to Poland. I don't really know why. The only tactical gain I see is that Sweden no longer borders Denmark. I'm not really sure what that would accomplish, unless Denmark was PTOd and broke from it's neutral status.

Colombia attacked Venezuelan Andean, Venezuela

I've switched to using glow effects and drop shadows to make visible arrows, as well as using mainegreen's symbols to show off various attacks. Due to a request, I also switched my image hosting services from imageshack to tinypic so the images can be viewed in china. Unfortunately the capcha for every upload is irritating the crap out of me. Anyone know of another image hosting service that isn't blocked in china?
