White House Press Release #102: The White House Press Corps

Day 906, 00:28 Published in USA USA by James S. Brady Press Room

It’s been a busy couple days for everyone, so I’ll keep this brief. First of all, I hope you’ve all been celebrating our victory in Limpopo. Joe Newton recently wrote about finishing the old war and moving on to the new one. Well, winning Limpopo secured another titanium region for our friends for V2. Well done, everyone. On to the announcement:

A recent popular topic in our newspapers lately has been the death of American media. No one knows exactly how it happened or who’s to blame, but it’s a reality we face. Routinely it takes little more than thirty votes to get in the top twenty.

We can do better than that.

Today, we announce the creation of the White House Press Corps. The administration anticipates that this will increase government transparency while rewarding talented writers with increased access to information.

Here is a basic outline of the program:

The press corps will be made up of a team of reporters. Reporters will apply for the position by filling out a form that, among other things, links to their best writing. The reporters will be given access to a press conference, to be held every other day. At this conference, they will be able to talk directly with the administration and have their questions answered. The press conferences will be organized in a specific press corps channel on IRC. Participation will be partially based on the reporter’s ability to be mature and collected, as talking out of turn will not be tolerated.

The interested parties will be given access to information for articles, and in turn their newspapers will be promoted by the government. The White House Press Corps is an opportunity for aspiring journalists in the US media to gain exposure and access. In turn, we will all reap the reward of reading articles with an analytical domestic focus in our media. Hopefully increased activity will be more

In short, the White House Press Corps will help save our media. You can be a part of it: Apply to be a reporter here.
