What Lies behind and what lies ahead - Presidential Elections

Day 1,750, 06:54 Published in Japan United Kingdom by Greatmoff
Japan has had a month of mixed fortunes.

No one can deny it has suffered some very big set-backs. The war with Taiwan has resulted in complete wipe. We have no congress, we face a PTO by some serbians (I use a lower case ‘s’ as this is not supported by the eSerbian government, and they are not representative of real Serbians). Our bank went missing and the admins failed to do anything. On top of that our former vCP and MoFA who led Japan to war with Taiwan quickly absconded fleeing to the USA. Our president, who despite nothing but good intentions in a flash of rage wiped our forums.

However there have been a few glimmers of change for the better, silver linings to our clouds. Since I took over as the MoFA of Japan I have shown absolute dedication to this country. I have put in many hours talking with different countries on our behalf. I have seen us sign new MPPs, I have managed to negotiate our entrance into the COT alliance. I have also set up an impressive network of ambassadors for a country of our size.

Elsewhere Squibeel and Zodiaque managed to recover parts of our forums, and replace what was lost, we pushed the PTO’rs out of the top 5 parties. We established a national military which removes public funds from private unaccountable pockets and allows our national resources to be used efficiently for the good of japan rather than the benefit of a few individuals.

What for the future?

I will make no secret of it. I am personally pleased with the results I have achieved in a very short time as Minister of Foreign Affairs and I would very much wish to remain on in my position and build upon the foundations I have laid.

I am currently in talks with the Taiwanese MoFA. A peace deal is being discussed and debated amongst their congress. I hope in the near future to be in a position to put a deal forward to the eJapanese public in order to hold a referendum.

I think all of Japan can see that war with Taiwan simply isn’t an option. We have been occupied for over a week now, and haven’t even come close to winning a Resistance War. Sure we’ll be able to call on allied support in some battles. We might get free, we can surely be a thorn in Taiwan’s side, but this will not secure us a stable resource base and regions for congress.

I call on the Japanese voters to vote for a candidate who will support peace and will work to bring Japan back to a stable footing.

Compare the two candidates:

Hizaya Nobunaga (an extract taken from his manifesto here.)

Geezus (an extract taken from the comments on his manifesto here.)

The difference is clear if you read their manifestos and look at the images I have shown you.

Whilst Hizaya will give Japan what it needs; peace and the opportunity to rebuild, Geezus will fight a war which neither Japan or Taiwan will benefit from.

Whilst Hizaya will support a centralized efficient and open military where the use of public funds is clear, Geezus supports a system where public funds go into the hands of private pockets. Public funding should be used for the good of a nation, not for the good of an individual

Whilst Hizaya is a unity candidate, put forward by a party which admits it is cultural rather than political and has received support from numerous parties forming a cross-section of eJapanese society, Geezus is put forward by a party he is president of himself, which he changed the name of without the consultation of his party members and he is backed by the serbian PTO’rs.

The difference is clear, Hizaya is standing to represent eJapan, Geezus is standing to represent Geezus.

I have put a lot of work in to build up eJapan’s international standing. I have seen us sign MPPs with numerous countries, with many more still yet willing to MPP us. I have seen us go from an international pariah to being welcomed into the arms of the circle of trust alliance. I have seen us make positive strides towards restoring peace with Taiwan, and wish to see us complete a peace deal which is acceptable to both nations, and with which we can prove our trustworthiness by keeping.

For this reason as your current Minister of Foreign Affair and as a humble eJapanese citizen I beg you to read the manifestos, and then to vote for Hizaya Nobunaga on the 5th of September.

Thank you for reading.

Greatmoff.
