It really is a thing of beauty, isn't it?
The only way to improve that is if Starbucks comes out with an IV drip. Well, that and a concoction that wouldn't stop your heart. Although, that would be my definition of a blissful death. As much as I would love to write an article about my love for coffee, or the mild caffeine addiction I have developed over my post secondary career, it won't be found here. I know, I am as upset as you are.
Instead, I will take you on another riverboat journey through my short, yet illustrious eLife.
Odds are you have taken to a political party that you deem to fit your social/political needs in this game. Kudos. Others are told what party to join by a member of the community that he/she is usually a figurehead in. That is also not that bad of an option to a new player. I, of course, was the latter. When I joined this game, I was told to join the MDP. As a new player, I was willing to go where told because I figured it would give me something to build off of, and that it did. I met a lot of nice and helpful people throughout the party, but it always burned in the back of my mind that I gave up a basic human right so easily. Choice.
Now, there are many options from here that I could take this article. I could go the Which party does Uncle Buck feel is the best for him? route, but I won't. I could give you a laundry list of reasons as to why I recently left one party for another, but I won't. I could even babble about which Presidential Candidate(s) I think are best for the country, and which I think are colossal morons, but I won't.
The truth is, it's up to you.
By all means, listen to the veteran players. They already went through the sifting process. However, don't listen to them just because they are a veteran player. Take a few minutes and read what other parties are doing and deduce your choices until you find one that fits you best.
Hell, don't listen to this if you don't want to. It's just an opinion.
But remember, the choice is yours.
Cheers,
Buck.

Starbucks. Pricey.
But remember, the choice is yours. x2

I already said in Homer's article (a rather disturbing one) that sometimes it's better to take neither the red nor the blue pill, and just walk away. Take if from me, I'm a senior player and Buck has to you follow my advice by not listening to what I have to say.
*Buck has asked you to*
I meant to say
not that you should listen
Kinda a different context 😛
The context is that when someone presents you with a list of choices, maybe there are actually more choices avaliable than are listed.
or maybe there aren't...
like maybe it's all just over-priced coffee, no matter what they try to call it...kind of thing?
You watch your dirty whore mouth!
But is it a venti double-half frap mocha whore mouth or a grande soy ice single shot macchiato whore mouth? I just can never decide.
I take both pills and chase them with whiskey. Party, party, party. Where are my pants?
See, there's always more options than the ones listed. And that goes for the political party index, too.
The blue or red pill picture just created a whole new feeling of freedom for me right now !! Thank You Buck. I am guiding my students to this article !! 😃
What students? You teach?
New players 🙂
You can choose going or not to starbucks... i dont... i walked away a long time ago...
Starbucks is no longer a choice for me, sadly. It owns me.
It owned me too... Then I began walking around to those small coffee shops that roast (toast) their own coffee.... New world!!
I have a french press at home, still go to S'Bucks when I can.
Another awesome article!
Oh and I'm a Columbia/French Vanilla creamer, simple girl.
Needs more IBB93
Next time.
That's what I like to hear. (y)
Spend a couple days in each and see if you like it. I've been playing this game for 3 years and I've been in probably about 50+ parties, but I could count on one hand those I really liked, or what I'd class as an enjoyable experience. Political parties can often be very cliquey on here, especially amongst the leadership, and the more successful the party is the worse it usually is. In my experience anyway. You should be looking for a party that will reward activity, and not expect you to be on irc 24/7 in order to give you a shot at congress or a party role. Most importantly, find a place with a nice chilled atmosphere, with people who don't take things too serious. And you'll be fine. : )
wow, I did not know parties could be that demanding. Must be how things are in the US. Things are definitely more chilled in eCanada so any Top 5er will be quite open to an active player.
Agreed. Some parties favor some IRC activity, but it in no way has that much of an effect on anything. Canada is a much more chill place. (I never thought I'd say that when not talking about weather)
Fantastic article. Voted and subbed. I wish you luck on your quest through eRepublik.
softening me up for the CP vote?? it's working.
LOL. Possibly, might just be because I'm a nice guy and I haven't seen a newer player writing like this since Shoi12 joined.
Starbucks ain't my cup of coffee(literally), I like Tim Hortons. Other than that good article. 😛
Power.
Pride.
Timmies.
Cheers to that!
LOL
BLASPHEMY
I havent won yet 😞 i guess i wont win Donuts, but a new car instead?? 😉
Always get either sick or a stomach ache from anything at Tim Horton's. So many fillers in everything they make, it is disgusting. Coffee beans and water are the ingredients I like in my coffee...
I enjoy some heroin and crack in my coffee now and again 😛
Amazing article and one I can agree with 100% 😃
Now stop all the silliness everyone in this thread and come home to Clan Wolf. He have a warm bed and good breakfast waiting for you 😉
Howl it if you like it so much 😉

Very good Nixon 😛
