Uruguay issue

Dear All,

My friend Tomi_ur wrote an article about a plan how to get cheap food for South Africa.

He pointed to the fact, that the tax reduction had no effect on the food prices, but I am prepared to argue about that. His suggestion was to attack Uruguay and occupy it since it has high Grain region.

There are couple of reasons why this will NOT happen as long as I am president..

1. We do not have 1350 Gold. From this point onwards the rest of the reasons are unsubstantial, but let's see them!

2. According to his calculations (and I do no have the reason to dispute its accuracy) the price of the war would be 1350 Gold. Well, from that money we could buy 67 Export Licences. Or we could buy 40,000 pcs of Q2 food (1,6 ZAR = 3w+3h) and distribute it free of charge. Given the fact, that we have about 300 active (voting) players, that supply would last for 130 days. That means, it would last longer than the rep itself.
3. Should we conquer Uruguay, EDEN forces would rush to start an RW (see Bosnia) and all the money will be gone by the wind (See Bulgaria)
4. If not EDEN, than probably Brasil would attack it sooner or later.
5. If we would have 1350 Gold and I would spend it for this purpose, my own ppl would kill me
6. If we had 1350 Gold, I would probably try to rent some high grain region from Indonesia (maybe some Australian territory). But still the outcome would be the same: EDEN mobile troops would show up and we have no chance to win on the battlefield.
7. Diego Forlan was my favourite player at the World Cup.

Well, people from Uruguay, relax, we are not a manace for You.

because you move all the gold and ZAR that the country has to private orgs. ofcourse you have the gold, you just dont want to spend it and keep the old thats not yours

Well of course you don't have the money, you keep putting all the money into your private accounts.

Also, no self-respecting South African would support an invasion of neutral-friendly regions(Australia, not Multinesia).
