Quite a week for our nation, and for eRepublik as such. Here's the weekly update on news and events regarding Norway in particular and the New World in general.

- Russia secures control in Finnish region Oulu resistance war.
- Sweden signs MPP with India.
- Denmark, still a Serb haven, signs MPP with Russia, while the congress of South Korea rejects Russia's MPP proposal with them.



- Early on in the elections, the number and pattern of votes to seko38, an account based in Turkey, gives clear signs of a PTO being in motion.
- Minister of Finance Tommy Skaue submits a proposal to secure national funds by moving them from the state treasury over to The Bank of Norway.
- Teknokratene president candidate Eris Caelestis issues a national security statement, asking all Norwegians to vote for Binary Party's Bob Turkee. This is an attempt to gather friendly votes in order to outweigh the increasing number of votes for the PTO candidate.

EVENTS
- Immediately after seko38 is elected president, a proposal to impeach him is submitted by congress member Freke.
- seko38 is reported to eRepublik admins for multiple account abuse. A petition posted in the forums by Buck Roger requests the admins to investigate.
- An official statement about the PTO is published by the acting government of Norway.
- The donation proposal passes in congress, securing NOK 40,000 from getting under PTO control.
- United Kingdom signs MPP with Turkey.
- Finland declares trade embargo against Turkey.
- seko38 declares war in Northern Russia, activating Russia's 26 MPPs. Russia secures region immediately as seko38 retreats.
- Sweden attacks Lapland, Russia to block a Russian attack on Norway.
- seko38 declares war in Scotland, activating UK's 7 MPPs. UK secures region immediately as seko38 retreats.
- seko38 declares war on Sweden regions Nordjylland and Jamtland Harjedalen. This cancels all the MPPs Norway has with Sweden's allies, leaving only the MPP with Spain. While retreating from Jemtland Harjedalen, the battle in Nordjylland is left open and blocks Sweden from attacking and securing Norwegian regions, as well as a parallell resistance war is giving the Phoenix majority of Denmark a nice training war.
- The Norwegian government releases an informations update on the PTO and corresponding events.



- The impeachment of seko38 comes into effect. Presidency is automatically handed over to the second place candidate by number of votes, Bob Turkee.
- The president issues a press release containing an announcement of the new government.
- United Kingdom's allies attack Vestlandet and Sorlandet.
- Russia with allies attack Nord-Norge.
- The Minister of Defence dispatches orders to mobilise Norway's regular forces as well as anyone able to fight for the resistance.
- USA accepts MPP proposed by Ireland
- The Great Southern War escalates. Read this update from the Australian Department of PR.



- The Department of Defense issues battle orders focusing on the northern front against Russia.
- Russia secures Lapland.
- Russia with allies attack Trondelag.
- Sweden secures Nordjylland and can now come to Norway's aid and attack Ostlandet in order to secure the region from hostile forces.
- United Kingdom's allies conquer Vestlandet and Sorlandet.
- Russia with allies conquer Nord-Norge.
- The government issues a general evacuation order and establish a moving ticket donation service to help people get to the remaining Norwegian region, Svalbard & Jan Mayen.
- South Africa: Australia attacks Argentina in Eastern Cape. Australia attacks Brazil in Kwazulu Natal.




- Sweden conquers Ostlandet.
- The game admins find that seko38 has in fact been cheating. The battle of Trondelag is stopped, all occupied regions are returned to Norway and the activated MPPs against Norway are annulled.
- The Norwegian government submits news about the cheating.
- The reactions on the admin intereference are strong. A large part of the player base seems to think it is 'unfair' to deal with cheating now since it hasn't been dealt with on other occasions.
- United Kingdom demands compensation after their attempt to exploit the situation failed.The news about the tragic plane accident in Poland affects a lot of players directly and indirectly, and makes the whole eRepublik community offer their condolences in the forums.



- United Kingdom attacks Sorlandet, this time without the support of MPPs activated by foul play. Our own Heimevernet troops immediately received excellent and strong support from allied forces. The battle has been completely controlled by EDEN and securing the region is just a matter of deciding the right time to do so.

THE GREAT SOUTHERN WAR
- South Africa: Australia conquers Eastern Cape from Argentina and Kwazulu Natal from Brazil.
The play of war turns ugly as Indonesia backstabs Australia by launching an attack on Northern Territory just minutes after a peace agreement was negotiated and proposed by Australia.
Indonesian officials refer to 'various underlying reasons' for the dishonourable action, as it turns out, a cover-up for the real battle of Western Australia.
By the turn of day, the Western Australia battle seems to be unresolved, and some bugs are seen in the events reports while the usual storm of forum posts towards the admins is brewing.Updates will be done to this article with both events and reference to relevant writings elsewhere, so feel free to check back in.
