Turns out I'm a Hungarian Spy....

Day 512, 07:32 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Marcus Antonius Varias

It may surprise you to hear, but apparently I'm a Hungarian spy.

I'd been sent a few message directing me to a forum: http://forums.erepublik.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6539. There had been some fear that I was actually an undercover agent out to topple the UK on my own (save maybe another few MPs who might stand in the election, they suspected!)

Does one sense some paranoia?

Actually, as odd, slanderous, humorous, paranoiac and self satirising it may be, it shows us how susceptible we are to fear, and how worried we can become when we don't have conflict.

Orwell claimed "War is Peace." Is this 1984 scare-mongering in the forums? Well I wouldn't say it's that bad, but perpetual war certainly means perpetual peace on the home front and our greatest fear is not the enemies we know, but those we do not. But, we just have to be careful that we don't drown ourselves in our own self-manufactured worry.

Moving on to the elections, the race is still close in the UKRP. It's anyone's for the taking and we still have the whole day ahead of us.

Oh, and just another quote for the fun of it: All we have to fear is fear itself.

And remember - Vote Marcus Antonius Varias for UKRP PP!

Marc Antony.

EDIT: I have just learnt something new. The individual who started the thread is infact quite anti-UKRP, presumably since he was a failed candidate as PP. Check it out here Suppose it shows the bitterness of some...
