They Represent You! June's Congress Statistics

Day 5,694, 06:04 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

What-ho Citizens,

Gird your loins for the statblock that really matters, from what has proven to be a very busy month in Congress! We have seen 3 different speakers and over 20 discussions and debates!

To keep it fresh I’ve jiggled the content slightly and included a new giga-bar chart. Hopefully it is of use to you. These stats currently include everything except the Donates discussion currently ongoing, and as always fluctuating Congress numbers over the month may mean some percentages change relative to headcount over time.

The full text of any discussion/vote mentioned in the below can be provided on request.

Albeit I am no longer Speaker of the house, I shall continue to present these stats without too much editorialising or commentary. It is up to you, the reader, what you make of this information and how it may inform your voting. Feel absolutely free to replicate/steal these for your own purposes … and enjoy!

You can click through the images to see bigger versions if your spectacles are not to hand!

Engagement Statistics

This shows the number and % of Congressmen who participated in each debate and non-admin vote. Admin votes can be reviewed on the country administration page.

Vote Spread

Quite simply this shows the number of Yes, No and Abstain votes cast by party, for each non-admin vote. If there’s no number, there were no votes. For the Speaker elections a couple of Abstains have been recorded under RON to keep the table tidy.

Comments/Contributions

This measures the volume of Congress posts made by individual Congresspeople, who are anonymised with just their party labelled (each bar is a Congressperson). Posts opening discussions have not been counted. This is correct as of 1pm on Friday 23/06 - naturally it will continue to grow but this is as good a cut off point as any!

This is a blunt, and admittedly experimental measure as it does not reflect the content of posts or length of contribution, but gives you a broad sense of the volume of contributions made. Averages for each party are shown below.

There you have it - an active Congress is a happy Congress and as you’ll see, activity levels continue to vary by party. The number of discussions and the range of topics Congress is covering continues to grow, and we all have a role to play in keeping the momentum going - and I mean all of us - we all get a vote!

Hopefully this has been useful, as well as the stats released in previous months (March - April - May)

Thanks for reading!
