These are Different Times that We're Living in

These are different times.

Somewhat recently, some oldies and I returned to this game only to find the US in worse condition than it had ever been in before. Me, I've been watching on and off for the last year or two from the forum, mostly, feeling nothing for the game, and being ever-so-happy not logging in.

But events wrapped their greasy fingers around my succulent brain and dragged me back into this mess.

So now I'm here. And now I'm looking at this barren, bombed, broken, and beaten landscape . . . and I'm sickened.

The US in deeply entrenched in not one, but two wars for the very soul of the nation.

The Culture Wars

One war - very present, very dangerous - this war smacks newfriends in the face as soon as they join the game. They get the NCM. Then they get Ajay's message. Then they get one from the Feds. And so on. Immediately, they're pulled in 50 directions, each side telling this kid that the other is evil. Each side fighting desperately for each and every vote they can get. It stinks of irl politifunnotry, and Ajay knows it. The newfriend assumes that it's just political games, perhaps, and chooses a side. Or leaves because spam sucks.

And, strangely, we kind of deserve it. We kind of trolled the sanity out of Ajay back in the day. They say he was crazy before, but this dude has revenge on his platter. Unfortunately for him, it looks like he'll be eating alone. Living that southern strategy.

But it's still hurting us. The kids are growing up so fast, paying for our crimes.



But then.

OH GOD BUT THEN

But then there's the second culture war.

This is the war has turned "unity" into a bad word. This is the real war with real casualties and real consequences. This is the war with the potential to tear the country apart.

The villain of this war?



Unity

The term "Pfeifferist" came out before Unity was a twinkle in an elitist's eye. It memed around when Fifer authored a bill to provide oversight for the old eUS Military, a move that ultimately broke ties between the JCS and government. In fairness, I believe that both sides wanted the separation. However happy the leaders were to split up, the casualties were below.



Ancient history, but important. It was Fifer's greatest opus until Unity. Nowadays, Fifer claims to have hand-picked 90% of our presidents over the last two years. This is especially silly for me, personally, as it stands in stark contrast to four years ago, when we toyed with little Fifer's obvious power-mongering while I was president, and laughed at him over Skype. Or two years ago, when Glove and I gang-banged him. Repeatedly.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we beat him 3 months in a row. It was obvious to Fifer that he couldn't win with democracy in place. Fortunately for him, Ajay stepped up his PTO game.

And fortunately for him, unity makes sense, under the circumstances. Unfortunately for non-power mongers who come here to play a game, unity elections are boring and kind of undemocratic. Not necessarily a dictatorship, but it certainly stifles 6th party or independent voices.

So people are pissed. And people scream. And people scream back. And people run to their neighborhoods and talk. And their neighbors get pissed. And they scream. And Unity screams back. And by this point, Unity isn't just a word. Unity isn't just a method. Unity is a proper noun, the name of a beast standing over our country, holding its genitals and laughing. Unity has come to life, and is barely under control.

The tragedy of it is that we still need the beast living. And we'll need it for as long as the Ajay War rages.

So what do we do?

Whatever it takes.

Individual citizens, take the power into your own hands. Don't be dumb and get banned, but get it done. Ask your friends(mom, siblings) to help, just click a few times a week, or do whatever you think can assist the cause to get our country back. We're going to win these wars, no doubt, it's just a matter of when. And how much damage will be done?

We've lived your southern strategy, we know it's never gonna last.
