No more talk. No more want. No more complaints. The time for change has come. The time for action has come.
We all have seen our nation dissolve into a quarrelling mess. A disaster. A mockery to the world. A mockery to the game. Over our time together as a nation we have done thing but fight amongst ourselves. We have had little endeavour to strive forward, and when we do, we are faced with petty grievances that hold us back from our true potential.
It is time we took action against this. In my recent article (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/cut-the-crap-let-039-s-face-the-facts-1677534/1/20) eAustralia shared its views with me to unite our nation. Many however, have put forward the fact that whilst the unity of our nation is a great idea that should be carried out, there is no hope to do so, and that no one does it, little action is being done. Simply words. Then there will be no more words. Only action.
Hence eAustralia I announce myself for the task. I will be running for Country President (Prime Minister) in March.
I cannot sit by as this nation tears itself apart, as we tear each other apart with no sympathy, no vision for the greater good of this nation. There is no one innocent in this mess, in the quarrel that we find ourselves. But here is our chance to unite. To forget past wrongs.
Many will agree, in fact, all should agree this terms politics has been nothing short of a disgrace. To the nation, to the eWorld. To ourselves. We have let these arguments stop us. It is time we stopped, we paused and looked at what we can be, not what we have been. It is time we gathered together, and strived for the greater picture that lies ahead of us.
It is time for action. It is time for unity and eAustralia, I am offering you that chance. I will rise to the position. I will lead, I will motivate and I will unite our nation to a better future. I do not stand for a single party, I do not stand for two parties. I stand for all political parties in eAustralia, regardless whether they are rivals or friends. I stand for all. I will unite all.
We are faced with great threats to our nation and we do not have the unity, the common goal to fix it. We do not have the foresight to see the greater picture, the real problems. Instead we face each other, armed with words of destruction and spend all our might destroying our fellow countrymen. It is time we turned around to face the problems we are faced with that are creeping up behind us. To take us by surprise.

So ladies and gentlemen, I offer you the chance now, stand with me for action, for change, for unity.
eAustralia has reached the point where we do not want unity. We need unity. No more words, no more complaints. Only to stand hand in hand.

In ordinary circumstances I would agree with you. however, in this respect i believe Flatty is calling for eAustralia to unite as we are going through a turbulent time, and we need strong leadership. He is not asking for us to be blind followers, rather that we consider him someone who is worth uniting behind.

good luck, everyone has a right to throw their hat in the ring.
Why do democracies always cry for leadership (aka dictatorships) and dictatorships always cry for freedom? If we all took some leadership then perhaps we might realise that we actually can do it. Each of us has a way to contribute now without waiting for new leadership. If we are electing someone to take over the reigns we are growing as a nation if we are still looking for hope then we are standing still.
Any fool can knock the past and promise a future but the key is to find someone who can actually take the lessons from the past and create a future.

I stopped reading after the first paragraph. I only read things with substance, filling an article full of waffling stuff like
"we must come together to sort problems out" or "we must unite our ideas" is simply boring and not worth reading.
Write another article with substance. Tell us exactly how you are going to fix the problems, state what the problems actually are.

Although your cause is good, I think that it is a bit odd to say "Here's a problem, let me fix it by making me the most powerful person in the country".
If it were someone who was not as well known in the community as you (perhaps me, indeed) I would be questioning your motives. Just sounds a bit shifty.
