Join the new world

Hello citizens of Indiana, This is SweetBags, and i'm officially announcing my run for Congress in this awesome state!

Before we get to my platform, here's a little about yours truly. This is my eleventh month playing Erepublik, most of which I spent two clicking. I've dabbled in areas from "srs" newspapering to the military. I'm a proud member of the United States Worker's Party (USWP)

But anyways, on to the juicy goodness of my platform.

Taxes: I support the current tax levels, possibly a slightly higher income tax to support expanded domestic (meals on wheels, skill 0 job hubs, welcoming committee, department of education, etc) and military programs (especially regular war games). But I will always side with the economic council; One eye, Woxan and Jewitt know far more about erep economics than i do, and following the economic council has helped keep our economy somewhat stable.

Military: I am in full support of our military! Without these selfless Emercicans the eus could still be under enemy rule. I beleive we should expand recruitment through the Training Division (TD) and various militias. I support expanded war games on a regular basis, they help boost activity when we don't have a real enemy (Indo, Huns, Russia) to fight. And I'm relatively certain that silly leprechaun will give me his pot of gold if we beat him enough. I also support the fortress strategy we now use.

Alliances: While I completely respect and support EDEN, I don't believe we can afford to spend over 1000 gold per month for MPPs with EDEN nations. However, if there is another funding method proposed (such as the war games funding method President Frost announced) which saves us this cost, I would certainly support joining EDEN. Another alternative would be joint operations with the EDEN mobile forces, without formally joining the alliance.

Again, vote for SweetBags in Indiana on the 25th. For the military, for the country, for the COOKIES!!!
