Follow-up to Last Week's Congressional Activity Reports
In the previous edition, we neglected to list the newly elected Congressmen. Here you’ll find not only the list, but notice of any Resignations and Censures as they may occur.
This Week's Congressional Activity
Sign-in 12/02: “34 sign-ins in the 24-hour window, quorum is 19.”
Which brought about a Discussion about the apparent ambiguous wording of the Rule, specifically exactly what the math is to go from the number of sign-ins to determine Quorum, and so…
The Discussion; the Proposal; the Vote.
The measure passe
😛22 Yes; 6 No; 5 Abstain
The Congressional Citizen Award Law has been on the books since December 2010, but has been largely unimplemented. It was asked, “Should we repeal this? Should we amend it to make it optional (as it has been ignored for over a year)? Should we just pretend that it doesn't exist?”
Discussion: Amending the Congressional Citizen Award Process; a premature Proposal; the Proposal; the Vote.
The Law was repealed and Committee dissolve

And then.. a day after burning it to the ground, a fresh thread was starte
😛[Discussion] Congressional Citizen Award Program. Go figure.
Q/A with oldfags - Constitution and Code had a short run on the Public Congress board before its originator moved the discussion to a thread in General eRepublik Discussion.

The Week Ahea
😛
The Private Congress area has been busy, and some of those issues will be released to the public soon. Maybe the actual threads, too, in which case they'll be published in next week's Speakers Word.
Your 72nd Congress appears to be determined to root out and correct any ambiguously worded Legislation. Look forward to more of the same in the following weeks.
The Legislative Branch and Public Congressional Proceedings are where Congress conducts almost all its business, and are there for you to follow our Discussions and Votes.

Hmmm...just noticed that my response to the [Discussion] Congressional Citizen Award Program thread has been moved to the trash can, once again proves that the 'meta game cabal' will do anything to silence their political opposition; while allowing know traitors to run free and say anything they wish....
that our SoH team has been aggressive in their forum moderation has been addressed and is being remedied.

do anyone have information for me on the Ireland deal? PM me.
that's one of the things discussed in Private Congress which should come out very soon.
but because it is, at this time, still deemed to be Classified, no one should be transmitting details of these talks to anyone, anywhere outside the confines of those Private Congress boards.
you mean you paying 150 k for 2 of our regions for 2 months should not come out. got you brother 😉
I did not say that. are you going to be one of those people who finds conspiracy and secrecy under every bush and rock?
any ongoing negotiations are naturally kept secret. once the talks are over and the plan is put into action it becomes public knowledge and so should the talks leading up to it.
you'll probably see this in the President's newspaper before next week's Speakers Word.
Any attack on eIreland regions by the U.S.A. will be considered as an ACT OF WAR by Eire citizens. You have been WARNED!!!
lol ! Change your tune 🙂
My brothers and sisters when Louth was under foreign occupation did the clerics not tell you of the suffering of our Irish compatriots. How the woman was forced to do unspeakable things , how the men was forced to work as slaves.
I can remember with tears in my eyes how I went to the villages of Louth at night . There I met a young girl barely of legal age. Her spirit was broken by the british slavemasters. She gently took my hand and said "Bless me father for I have sinned" I assured her that the sin was not hers. But alas her body was broken by her ordeals and she died in front of me. I can still remember the weak desperation as her weak body tried to fight against death but it had not the power. This will not be our faith brothers if we now stand up and we awoke the mega warriors. Reach out my friends . The darkness is almost upon us. 🙁 😢
I notice you feature a picture of the Capitol in WA DC, but our capital is now Denver so our new Capitol would either be the Colorado State Capitol or we could have built a new one I guess
