(Keep reading, title could be misleading)

Today is the day of the monthly, global PP election. Within the eUK, all the parties will today decide on their leader of the next month (as a side note, go to your party page to vote. Admins have removed the button from the main page). All parties, that is, except mine, the People’s Communist Party. As is well known around the eUK, to prevent PTOing, we hold our elections on the forum before candidating only the winner of these votes in-game. It might have already come to your attention that in a tight race between me and Sir Scott Williamson, he ended up on top.

It goes without saying that I was surprised, even angry. But the fact was, SSW was chosen. The next obstacle would be the obvious ridicule from the other parties. Some might even think it was a joke. This was, in many peoples’ eyes, a fool. Someone who rage-quitted and returned claiming they were hacked. Someone who couldn’t spell unless it was in capitals with ‘!!!!!’ at the end, and changed their mind when it suited them. These thoughts were at the forefront of most peoples’ minds when they thought of Sir Scott Williamson. Most would probably joke that we might as well have elected Jack Jockson.

This is not the same man who has been in the PCP however. The cliché, never judge a book by its cover, is ideal here. Despite how he seemed to others in the eUK and his ex-fellow party members in the TUP, Sir Scott Williamson has proved an invaluable and dedicated member of the PCP.

I can hear the laughing and the joking from here at this point, but the truth is, he has.

Since his short time in our party, Sir Scott Williamson has efficiently run part of the commune system, written brilliant articles for the party (in good English for people who don’t believe it), provided gold for the successful and famous resistance war started by the People’s Army, and PMed for the party, campaigning for new members. All this, and helping with other parts of the party.

So no, this has not made the PCP ridiculous. The undeniable reality is, when you look back on it, Sir Scott Williamson is a great citizen. Despite what most think of him, he is a much dedicated citizen than most of us. And this is why I have decided that I will support him throughout the term, despite my previous prejudices; and I hope people will see this side of him over the next month.
