The Media Module is dead

Another module of the game is dying and the game administration doesn't care. We all know that the game economy module is dead for some time, but the admins don't care as they think we will buy now more gold (not going to happen), the military module, even with the recent changes, is not very interesting, and the political module is suffering from clone attacks (somebody loves Star Wars maybe a little too much 😛).

The medial module was also suffering, because its usually a mirror for the other modules, but it was still alive.

We all know that it was not easy to get a MM medal, because it requires to have 1000 subscribers to your newspaper, which you got only after writing tons of articles with thousands of votes. It was not easy, but it was possible.

Of course there were and are people that tried the shorter and easier way and offered weapons, food, currency or even gold. At the beginning there were not many, so probably the admins thought that there is no problems.

But the number of those medal hunters grow bigger and bigger and more and more often top 5 international articles contained articles that offered a reward for subs, votes and shouts. No reaction from the admins.

The problem got worse, sub for subs channels were created, people got the MM medal without even writing a single article and the admins did nothing.

But the final blow was the creation of so called Voters Club (the Polish club is the most famous), who offered votes and subs for currency.

Now for almost 9 k CC you can order 600 subs, and there is even a offer for 900 subs (do you know how many months have I worked to have 900 subs?), for a better price. Also, at a lower price you can order votes.

The result is that the top 5 of most of the countries is packed with shitty articles, who are squizing good article to the bottom of the list, making them less visible.

Probably you noticed that most of the best writers in eRepublik (dSoKre, Fremenul, smee, etc) are writing now only occasional. Why? Because there are less and less interesting subject, because the reward is now a joke (anyone can get a MM medal with a few tanks).

We have reached a point, when its not worth even to make fun about all this!

There are solution for admins to make the Media Module again attractive, but we know that they dont care about our suggestions and ideas, so I won't bother.

Inca un modul al jocului este pe moarte iar adminilor nu le pasa. Modulul economic este mort (nu le pasa pentru ca probabil au impresia ca asa am cumpara mai mult aur - asta nu se va intampla!), cel militar, chiar si cu schimbarile recente, este inca neatractiv, iar modulul politic sufera de pe urma atacurilor clonelor (cuiva ii place Star Wars poate un pic prea mult).

Modulul media, care de obicei este o oglinda a celorlalte module, nu o ducea prea bine nici el, dar totusi era inca viu!

Cu totii stim ca nu era usor sa obtii o medalie MM, trebuind sa determini 1000 de jucatori sa se aboneze la ziarul tau, ceea ce necesita sa scrii zeci si sute de articole cu mii si mii de voturi. Era destul de greu, necesita timp si sudoare, dar era posibil.

Evident ca exista si o scurtatura, care implica cumpararea de voturi si abonamente prin oferirea de bani, gold, tankuri, paine, sarmale, etc. Initial nu au fost foarte multi, si probabil adminii nu si-au batut capul prea mult cu asa ceva.

Din pacate numarul doritorilor a crescut, si mai mereu se pot vedea in topul national si international multe articole care ofera recompense pentru abonamente. Evident nu a existat nici o reactie de la admini.

Au fost create chiar si canale de genul sub for subs (ma abonez la tine contra abonarii tale la mine), iar multi au obtinut medalia fara sa scrie un singur articol!

Lovitura de gratia fost crearea asa-numitelor Cluburi de Votanti (cel polonez este probabil cel mai utilizat), unde poti cumpara voturi si abonari contra bani in joc (CC).

Acum cu 9000 CC poti cumpara 600 de voturi si exista si o oferta de 900 subs, adica aproape toata medalia, iar voturile sunt si mai ieftine. Aveti idee cat am muncit eu pentru 900 de abonati?

Rezultatul cel mai vizibil este poluarea top 5 cu articole de propaganda, care altfel nu ar obtine mai mult de cateva zeci de voturi. Evident articolele fara voturi platite, indiferent de valoarea lor, sunt impinse mai la fund.

Multi din voi ati remarcat probabil ca cei mai buni scriitor din joc, gen dSoKre, Fremenul, smee, etc scriu din ce in ce mai rar sau deloc.

Am ajuns intr-un punct in care parca nici sa faci misto de toate astea nu mai merita!

Exista solutii pentru revitalizarea modulului media, ca si a celorlalte module, dar stim cat pret pune administratia pe parerile si sugestiile noastre, asa ca nu-mi mai bat capul sa propun solutii.

Modulul Media este mort!
