The Collapse of the Unity Party

I am sorry to say that I bring you sad news. The Unity Party as we know it has collapsed. The party that brought fairness and assistance to the people no longer exists. Instead, the party has changed direction. A direction where the only people that matter are those that have power. They then use this power to manipulate the people who truly matter into joining them, where they will then be abused and used just for their votes. It is a disgrace to this nation and the people that this party has turned its back on us citizens. I have made my attempts to give back power to the people, however, TUP has made it very clear that they do not care for you. Instead, they stop all attempts in providing democracy to the people, at all costs. I have seen this happen three times in the last month alone. Three times in which the people were denied their voice.

I joined TUP two and a half years ago. It was ranked number three, behind UKRP and PCP. It was a time when TUP was struggling to make ends meet. I joined, because I believed in the ideals of the party, and I wanted to promote those principles of equality and justice to the country. I had represented the party in Congress for 25 terms, and was even the Party President for three terms. But in recent months, troubling changes began. I became concerned that the party, which had been ranked number one for quite some time now, was beginning to become out of touch with the public. I made it clear to TUP that the party should prioritise in helping the people, but the more I discussed this, the more TUP made it clear that they only want to help themselves to gain more power. Unfortunately, the last meeting did not end so well. They have abandoned the ideals that made this party great. They are no longer here for the people.

For too long, we have been victims of oppression. We have been fed lies, but many times we fail to see this, as it is covered in deception. Sure, TUP gives out candy, to make it seem as if they are nice, but the harsh reality is that the main purpose of TUP is to gain as much power as possible by removing as much power as possible from everyone else. It’s time the people realise what is truly going on, instead of being left out in the dark. I know that this article will be attacked by those loyal to the new path of TUP, as they want to hold on to their power and cover up the truth. Let us look at all the cover-ups and propaganda Gaddafi and his government have created, in order to make the rebels look bad as they continue to fight for their democracy. It has been shown throughout history how those in power will do anything to remain in power; even betray the very people who helped give them that power. But we do not have to put up with this anymore. The curtain has fallen, and the truth has been revealed. It’s time for our voices to be heard. We no longer need to be oppressed. One day, we will have a real democracy, in which all people matter, and every individual will have their voice heard, no matter who they are. We may have a mountain to climb, but if we put our minds to it, this will one day become a reality.
