The Canadian Armed Forces

Day 1,004, 21:46 Published in Canada Canada by jbdivinus

Before starting...if you are a soldier who came to fight for us against France or UK when requested, I would like to thank you from the depths of my heart. Please continue to do so...the losses we have suffered during key moments are not going to be regular occurrences.

To all the citizens who had to watch as battles ended with 5 troops fighting for eCanada, I am so sorry.

Today, it ends.

I can't think of a better picture to describe the current state of the CAF.Based on what you see, you want to get into it. However, sometimes dumb blondes are just that. Sometimes, they just can't do it right. (if the link doesn't work for you: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-caf-10-reasons-to-join-1492556/1/20 )

The past few days, I have been very involved in our war effort. I have organized the movement of allied troops of 3 different nations, in several battles. I have helped co-ordinate the different fighting forces during key moments of battles. I have supplied many troops with food and weapons out of my own pocket. I have been in regular discussion with the presidents of 6 different nations.

Did I forget to mention that I am also not in any official government position?

The Canadian Armed Forces, our supposed national army, the pride of our nation, has been, with the exception of two or three dedicated soldiers, completely absent from the battlefield during key moments of some of the battles we have lost against France and the UK. The CAF leaders, when they manage to come online (which, I can say with certainty, isn't very often, unless they are afk and leave their computers on) have shown an incredible lack of competence and leadership. I have seen CAF generals storm out of the crimson channel, claiming to be disrespected and [insert nonsense here], when the entire room was focused on battle. I have seen CAF generals left in charge of battles while our CP was afk, and they themselves do not participate in any effort to co-ordinate our troops.

I do not question the loyalty or capability of the soldiers of our nation. They are, without a doubt, of the highest quality and character. The leadership, however, needs to learn how to lead in V2. This is no longer "hit a wall tomorrow", please show up. In order to win battles in this game now, we need to be organized, and troops need to be deployed on the field. Not the 3 dedicated soldiers who come on irc for every battle...but the hundreds of troops that are being promised weapons and gold.

The most effective fighting force in this country is The Crimson Order. They receive, in comparison to the CAF, almost no government funding. The CAF gets the majority of the entire budget, TCO; pennies. Yet it is to TCO we on irc flock to during battles. It is TCO we fight alongside when on the battlefield. It is TCO, and the leadership of TCO commanders that are the greatest military assets in the country.

You are the Canadian Armed Forces. You have a duty to our nation. You are charged with the task of protecting me and my fellow citizens from harm. TCO does all this and more, without the capability to offer shiny prizes to recruits.

I have a problem with you, and I am not afraid to say it. Protect me, protect the sovereignty of my glorious nation, or choose to witness the wrath of 8000 citizens who will not tolerate incompetence when there exists so much potential.

Yours in national unity,
Jbdivinus

Please though, don't be afraid to take the time to troll this article while you are on your way to the field. Just don't get lost. If you need help finding the battlefield, as you have shown you do, I've prepared a special treat for you.

PS: To be clear. I have the utmost respect for the soldiers of the CAF. I also am not saying the CAF does absolutely nothing. Only that, in several key battles on several different occasions, it has utterly failed at providing any sort of organized deployment whatsoever. Several very important occasions..
