Following the beginning of the Battle of Britain, a bug-filled beginning of the day slightly delayed the fight, as battles remained open longer than their allotted 24 hours. Regardless, the eUSA won in their two battles, while the eUK and Phoenix repelled eNorway and eCanada in their respective three fights. If the current invasion is new to you, then please read my previous article for more context.

Latest troop movements in Day 805

USA-UK
After winning in South West of England and Wales, the eUSA and its 6 activated EDEN mutual protection pacts (MPPs) have gained a foothold in Great Britain. A resistance war (RW) in Wales was started after the eRepublik bugs were sorted out, and the wall there remains within reasonable tanking distance were enough of Phoenix or confused eUS two-clickers to fight red in the battle from an eUS hospital region.

More notable, however, are the two fronts opened by President Jewitt around 18:00 on Day 805-- around the halfway point of the Wales RW-- against the eUK at the South East of England and the West Midlands. Were the eUS to win in the West Midlands, they would present a more plausible chance at winning in Scotland than either eCanada or eNorway. A victory at the SE of England would block the way into Great Britain for the eSpanish and ePoland, but it would also give the two EDEN countries a buffer from any other eUK attacks across the English Channel. eSpain could appreciate this as they continue to fight in eItaly and eFrance.
Most importantly, an EDEN victory in SE England would put the eUK capital and fortress region of London within striking range. It is very possible that Jewitt would push the button shortly after the close of battle in SE England if his side emerges victorious.

Norway & Sweden-UK
eNorway started a second attack on Scotland around the same time as the Wales RW, but after the eUK attacks across the English Channel (below), and the wall remains high there. Because this attack preceded the eUSA attacks by nearly 12 hours, Phoenix likely already used much damage in this battle while unsure of when (or if) the eUSA would continue to move forward. This could have ramifications on the outcome of the eUS battles, mentioned previously.

eSweden attacked the eUK from its Danish territory of Midtjylland around 09:00 on Day 805, attacking at the North East of England. Tiny eSweden has a high wall stacked against it by the eUK and its 17 MPPs, and is playing the role of a blocker. An eSwedish victory, though highly unlikely, would allow for another front to open in Scotland were the eUS to focus on other regions and leave Scotland for the other EDEN countries with an open war there; the multiple battles in one region could increase the likelihood that one of the EDEN countries capable of attacking Scotland (eNorway, eCanada, and eSweden with a victory in NE England) could possibly win there.

This time, the invasion of mainland Europe is
second fiddle to what is going on in Great Britain

UK Fights Across the English Channel
After the battle adjustments and before EDEN resumed attacks on the eUK, Prime Minister Dishmcds alertly attacked the EDEN countries sitting across the English Channel, blocking ePoland and eSpain with “double whammy” attacks (an RW and a conventional invasion) at Picardy and North Calais. The attack on Picardy has experienced success thus far, while the RW holds a small wall; like the multiple invasions on a region, the double whammy tactic spreads out the defender and increases the chances an attacker has at winning a region, as long as the attacker can contest the RW region if necessary. ePoland may be complacent with losing Picardy as they support the eUSA offensive, or we may see a change in the wall as more ePolish citizens fight later in the battle.

However, both the eUK attack and the RW have been repelled by the eSpanish, although eSpain’s own offensive against the eFrench at Aquitaine has also been unsuccessful thus far and the eUK has succeeded in denying the eSpanish from crossing the Channel. eSpain, locked in a fierce war with eFrench resistance, probably wants to keep every occupied region under its control so that the eUK could not conceivably swap it back to the eFrench and give the rejuvenated resistance more regions.

Finishing
The next few hours will determine whether or not an attack on London could be coming on Day 806. The eUS could attack the fortress that day at the earliest with victory in SE England, but a victory in the West Midlands would delay their chances one day as the eUSA would need to either retry at the SE England, or go the “scenic route” by fighting at the East Midlands and East of England regions-- such a roundabout route would delay the Battle of London until Day 808 at the earliest, and is not a foregone conclusion that they would win every necessary battle beforehand. If ePoland or eSpain had the chance to attack the SE of England, they would be able to attack London more quickly, but would not have the advantage of MPPs which the eUSA enjoys.

I do not intend to publish daily reports all the time, but the Battle of Britain has been very interesting to follow and I will continue to cover it through its conclusion.

God Bless America,

Lt. Scheisskopf
