Teacup Special: eUSA, Phoenix? Chicken? Or Headless Chicken?

Day 641, 09:38 Published in USA USA by Yang Wenli

"A phoenix is a mythical bird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet. It has a 500 to 1,000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of myrrh twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again."

________

Yes, that was from Wikipedia, but alas, this article is not about phoenix or any bird or the evil "oops, headless chicken" of eRepublik. Well, maybe a bit. This article is about the darkest hour just before the dawn while our country is almost burnt into ashes, and our eternal joy in this game or maybe any game: be challenged and prevail.

What is the difference between a phoenix, a chicken, and a headless chicken?

Simply put, a phoenix will face the fire and get a legendary reborn, a chicken will run, and a headless chicken will most probably do nothing and get cooked. Question is: what are you going to be? What is eUSA going to be? Back in June while I was traveling in New York, an NYC Cruise tour guide repeatedly said to me: "you are what you make people believe you are." That's exactly what I'd like to say to you and to eUSA now:

"You are what you make people believe you are."

To give you a better idea of the situation, here's a sketch map and a summary:

- We are at war with this huge alliance of warmongers called PEACE GC;

- We are down to 3 states, Florida, Maine, and Massachusetts (marked in light grey) while Massachusetts is likely to be conquered by Russians as I write this article;

- Hungary took 4 of our states, marked in dark green;

- Indonesia took 10 of our states, marked in dark red;

- Portugal took 12 of our states, including Washington DC, marked in khaki;

- Russia took 22 of our states, including New Jersey, one of our final fortresses and is attacking the 23rd target state, Massachusetts.

A quote from President Obama: "These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land - a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable..." Well, if you switch the word "decline" to "complete destruction", that's about what we are looking at here. We have numerous companies closed due to enemies' occupancy; newbies trapped behind the enemy lines, and in Florida, our final fortress, although the wall is high, people are about to suffer from scarce job opportunities. We are facing our ashes and a few half-burnt stakes; we are suffering from our previous mistakes and reluctance; we are cornered and divided.

But, we are NOT lost, unless we give up.

We could get our reborn, unless we proved ourselves not phoenix but chicken.

We could rebuild eUSA, unless we turn our back on the game board and use the Eric Cartman quote: "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"

There are things we can do, through creativity, patience and persistence to rebuild a better eAmerica.

There are things we must do if we want to go on playing as eAmericans.

Let us subscribe and be attentive to everyday DoD Orders and fight as devotedly as we could.

Let us be aggressive to spread the word about our great Flying Unicorn, to help our people escape from enemy territories, rally our citizens in Florida as long as it fits our best interest. You can also see Flying Unicorn Squadron - FAQ for a better understanding of this great effort.

Let us support our Welcoming Committee and companies like Fort Harlot to feed our newbies and give them constant opportunities for day to day work. If you need help, find them; if you want to offer help, find them.

Let us be generous in subscribing fellow eAmericans' newspapers and help each other to become Media Moguls.

Let us be proactive in getting our friends and referrals to join us, take care of them like our babies, think for them and encourage them to overcome the first 6 days of "2-clicking" boredom.

Let us be patient and helpful to people and new comers who are confused or frustrated by the game, remember, that once upon a time we were all newbies.

Let us be active posting and sharing ideas on our eUSA forum and get together like an invigorating community.

Let us be faithful and open-minded to our allies, fight for them while ordered and fight as devotedly as how we defend our home state.

Let us get rid of petty grievances, political party disagreements, finger pointing and bureaucracies, knowing that we would have a much better picture to look at if we acted differently in the past.

Now, if we gradually became what we need to be in this game and went through this whole turmoil, I'd say, then we owe a big "THANK U" to PEACE GC, because of them, we become a far better community, and we will have a lot of good memories about getting challenged and prevailed.

Good luck to all, and once again: "You are what you make people believe you are."
