Hi. Just back from a weekend away and find parts of the country are missing. Just so glad I didn't put myself forward for congress this term....
But enough hypocrisy! I've said at length that we need a war. OK maybe not this particular war but there's no point in saying that I would have voted against it as I'm not privy to the congress thread. What's done is done so let's just all get on with it.
Which brings us nicely to the CP elections. We have three candidates in Bean & Teddy, Chewie and Matko. B&T has written two articles where he sets out his stall, but doesn't really elaborate on how he's going to resolve the current military (and financial) crisis.
I'm sorry, but it's just not good enough in saying strategies are to be kept secret. We have a right to know where the CP stands on the current wipe. Will they negotiate a peace treaty with the Poles that allows them regions or changes the NAP with the UK? Is B&T going to refuse to sign a peace treaty with the Poles and utilise RW's at all costs against them? What chance would we have with them being successful? Is B&T going to be an EDEN fanboy and not look at other options? Would he negotiate with the Poles and form a pan-Polish and British alliance and all the flaming that would entail?

But at least with B&T he's writing articles and explaining his position.Neither Chewie or Matko hasn't bothered his arse telling us what he intends to do should he become CP. Probably because he hasn't been active for about a week now. So really it's all down to B&T vs. Chewie. Let battle commence and the best candidate win.

Malbekh I understand what you are saying and I have laid out my plans to congress already 🙂 I would be happy to do so to through a pm with any trustworthy Irish citizen 🙂 At the moment I am pro EDEN as due to recent surveys that's what eIreland overall is. I am here to serve the people not be a dictator. EDEN is the only alliance imho that can get us out of this mess without settling for a NAP that suits Poland more than us. I urge anyone with questions to pm me. 🙂

@ B&T I hear what you're saying but the reason we vote for EDEN is because no alternative is ever offered as a choice. It's like going to a restaurant and being told you can only have water. Now water may be a good thing for some people but I reckon most of us would be miffed.
This PM thing doesn't work for me either. Firstly because someone will shop you eventually and secondly, how can people judge you if they don't know what you stand for?
So I can only assume that you will stick with EDEN come what may. I can only assume that you won't look for an alternative alliance. That you won't sign a NAP or alter the NAP with the UK. I'm sure most of us would be interested in finding out what the relationship was between us and our EDEN friends during the current conflict. I hope this comes out with the wash.
In the meantime, I will be voting for B&T unless I see something from from the other candidates.
Chance she is one of the many fine looking reporters to come out of the Irish speaking channel TG4, she has a fine looking sister aswell.

@malbekh the pm thing is mainly for my war plans pr any other questions. : P
About Eden, Yes I do believe we should stick with them, even if your in favour of joining a different alliance for the moment at least we need EDEN. They are the only ones that have enough damage and countries to free us from Poland with having to accept some NAP that only gets us back half our regions. I will look into altering the UK NAP but I have no intention on letting Ireland break it first it would only lead..

to us being wiped even longer. In the current conflict EDEN has helped us a lot and for the whole day in the scotland battle we were prio 1. We are seeing less help now because we are getting wiped to close the NE. We can't stop Poland at the moment so we must wait for RW then we will see EDEN's help once again. 🙂
Hang on Bean. Surely it's a lot harder to get support from EDEN in an RW than through an MPP? Particularly without our 10% NE bonus? I know the game Poland are playing here and as you'd expect, it's a pretty smart one.
Actually, one other thing. We tend to like our CP's to lead from the front. It's fascinating looking at the stats of the respective candidates to see how they reacted when we went to war. Illuminating.
Malbekh it depends on the situation. Sometimes rw's in the right circumstances can be easier and strategically better to win.
"... and for the whole day in the scotland battle we were prio 1. ..." that wasn't the case with Croatia. Was on a "business trip" there this day and CoD was for RW in Malaysia , changed to Ireland/Poland just in the evening when battle was already lost.
