Re-Elect Longbaugh for Hawai'i

Day 579, 16:34 Published in USA Pakistan by Longbaugh

The bulk of who I am as both a citizen of the eUSA and the senator from Hawai'i can be found right here in The Long Bow, but allow me to give a brief introduction of myself. I was born in eTexas on Friday the 13th of March, day 479 of the New World. I'm an entrepeneur. I created, own, and operate Orchid Worldwide from right here in Hawai'i. When I reached the appropriate level I surveyed all active parties and decided to join the United States Workers Party. At the time scrabman was the party president and it happened to be the perfect union of practicality, ideology, and responsibility so I signed up and became its 1,015th member. If you want insight into my RL politics, take a cue from my avatar.

Last month I decided to challenge changewillcome for the senate seat from my adopted home and I ended up winning a very clean campaign from all participants.

Regarding my governmental philosophy, let me continue with my regards.

.

Regarding Transparency

During my first term I have discovered how much work needs to be done on the transparency tip. I now better understand what an obstacle this is for us even though we're likely the best at it. We still do not have a universally transparent government—which, to a certain degree must exclude situations where our enemies would benefit. Still, what an immense problem this must be in nations like North Korea, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

Transparency is the most important ingredient to purity. Serving Hawaii as a United States Worker I have published every vote since I took office on May 25th. That was a pledge I made in my election campaign then and it's a pledge I will make now. I will continue to publish my voting record here in The Long Bow for all to see and discuss. That is my effort toward a government everyone can participate in.

My congressional voting record for 5/26 - 6/1

My congressional voting record for 6/2 - 6/8

My congressional voting record for 6/9 - 6/14

My congressional voting record for 6/15 - 6/24

With that said, to all naysayers I will personally attest to President scrabman's quality clarity as president. I will also attest to the altruism of the United States Workers Party. Despite what many of you may have heard or read, the USWP is without a doubt a good old-fashioned American stalwart. As a matter of fact, I find much more sick partisanship shooting from reactionary parties that depend on the demonization of the USWP to survive. Don't believe that hype.

.

Regarding Taxes

Currently, income taxes are set at twenty percent across the board with import taxes set at one percent in all but the food, gift, weapon, and housing industries. Value Added Taxes for consumers are also set at one percent.

I like the VATs exactly where they are. They allow me to buy more food and more guns (as I'm sure they do you too). Clearly, Steve Forbes' ridiculous Flat Tax idea doesn't work so well on eRepublik (or RL).

I proposed to raise the import tax on moving tickets from one percent to six percent because I felt, and still feel that basement-level import tax rates are nothing but a frivolous symbol. Rates that low advertise our markets to companies from nations like Romania that return the favor with ninety-nine percent rates. I'm against the high rates we currently have on the aforementioned three industries (disregarding the housing industry).

Libertarians and world marketeers are both wrong on this issue. We need to have our hand in the world markets, allowing foreign companies to spur competition for the benefit of the consumer. We also however need to keep a firm grip on our domestic market. These are the steady principles of a perpetually bullish market. I believe import taxes should be set at six to ten percent across the board. Foreign companies will always come to our market because we have a robust and large population regardless of the five to nine percent difference. I think there is common and practical ground to be found on this ever-changing issue.

Regarding the Military

What can I say? What can all of us say? The war games idea that Uncle Sam dreamed up and scrabman has been implementing for his three-and-a-half terms have leveled all of us up exponentially. Some might point to scrabman’s handling of the economy—which has been nothing but dependable for quite some time now—as the hallmark of his presidency. I would point to his handling of a seemingly never-ending cycle of scheduled war games. We have all become much stronger and therefore much more prepared for the dark beast on the horizon that is an inevitable attack by PEACE. It is in that respect that I support the re-delineated Weapons Stockpiling Program (WaSP) as a way of nationalizing qualified weapons companies and stockpiling their product for the purpose of fighting significant battles on the cheap.

As a junior member of the congressional Military Committee I will continue to monitor and participate in the decisions that decide the present and future of our greatest natural resource: the American soldier.

.

Regarding Rumors of an Indonesian PTO

Indoesia's recent call to take over Hawaii is just plain stupid. Even if they did take this seat, they'd find the "prospectus" to be daunting to the point of being absolutely pointless.

Indonesia has a history of flapping their gums in grand cowardice; they've threatened to invade us "tomorrow" so many times it's almost sad. Let's get real by the way, "prospectus" isn't exactly a word you hear too often from people who follow through on their threats, if you you know what I mean.

.

With all of that said, to my Libertarian opponent James Harding—who replaced fingerguns at the last moment due to the irresponsibility of the Libertarian party—I wish you good fate.

To my beloved Hawai'i, I can tell you that if you vote for me you can rest assured I will keep the pressure where the pressure is required, I will always remain as transparent as I have always pledged to be, and most importantly I promise to be on the job, every day. I'll never abandon you.

So, on June 25th, vote United States Workers Party and send Longbaugh back to Washington for Hawai'i.
