Presidential Elections

Day 1,870, 11:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lauren Taylor

In preparation to the upcoming CP elections, i have asked 3 of the most prominent candidates to do the political compass test.

The Political Compass
-the economic scale (left/right)
The economic scale which is the horizontal line, indicates the persons view on how the economy should be regulated.
Far left is the state planned economy, while far right is the extremely deregulated economy.
The right side indicates a wish of free marked without any regulations, while the left side tends to favour regulations like Income tax, VAT, National Insurance, Corporation tax, Inheritance tax, Stamp duty, Capital gains tax and Motoring taxes.
-the social scale (authoritarian/libertarian)
The social scale is an indicator on how big an influence the state can have, extreme authoritarian will put state over individual and is in favour of a lot of laws to keep order in the society, while the extreme libertarian favours a society without laws and regulations that limits the personal freedom.
The extreme authoritarian is nationalist, while the extreme libertarian is anarchist.

As seen on the map, none of the candidates have extremes. Both mittekemuis and Betafoxtrot are closer to the left than the right, which with erep goggles could mean (only speculations) that they are in favour of economic regulations i.e. the NHS and helping struggling players economically, as well as using taxes more. BigAnt is leaning more to the right, which means less eager to use taxes, which we indeed have seen this term.
