With the election just one day away, only 2 candidates are standing in Thailand this month. For those who do not know why there are so few candidates it is because of a history in Thailand of Indonesia sending a candidate here to try to attain a medal for themselves with very little intention of doing much else. To defend ourselves and ensure that votes are not wasted we have held a Primary Election to decide which of the 3 Thai friendly candidates should run for President and therefore enable All Thai friendly citizens to support the same candidate, giving Thailand the best chance to electing somebody that genuinely wants to do good in our country.

I am honoured that the results of the Primary election showed that you have selected me as your June candidate despite competition from 2 other very worthy candidates and I have already began putting together a strong team to help manage the country if elected so that no time is lost in tackling the job at hand.

For those that do not know me I have been in eThailand for 8 months, served as a congressman for the past 7 months and have invested large amounts of gold into companies here to help develop our economy. I regularly visit our forums and IRC and want to increase the number of other citizens utilising these methods of communication to build a better community in Thailand.

My intentions for the next month are to lay some firm foundations domestically for Thailand’s future growth and develop better communication with the people of Thailand. I am trying to establish a 2 tier cabinet, with a senior and junior minister managing each section of the Thailand government. I hope this to have multiple advantages. The first is greater involvement, particularly from active, but young, players looking to get their first real foot on the political ladder but perhaps are lacking experience to do the job as well as some of the older citizens and so are often overlooked. Thailand cannot afford to alienate the eager active citizens who are the leaders of the future. A 2 tier cabinet will also allow the work to be shared giving more time to communicate effectively with citizens. I’d like a better use of the government orgs and a better understanding from Thai citizens of what government orgs can do for them to enhance their erepublik experience in Thailand.

Another large aim of mine is to encourage and develop further investment in Thailand’s economy. Our job market is too frequently empty allowing companies to offer wages that are too low and exploit workers. Erepublik in its current form is often compared to the perfect competition model, which implies that wages should be equalised across all countries in gold terms for a given level of skill. This would indicate that new business owners should automatically locate where wages are lower, like Thailand, and with better information I think they would. Attracting more companies would help increase wages, grow our population and grow our tax revenues too, allowing the government to fund more services. The increased competition must also be very good for keeping the prices of goods in Thailand low. Additionally as the range of products in the new economic module increases it is important for Thailand to have more businesses so as to be able to supply the market with as many types of goods as possible and give you, the consumer, more choice.

From an international viewpoint, I believe our voice will be better heard in the medium term by becoming a stronger nation domestically in the short term, which is where my focus for this term will be, laying the foundations for a prosperous Thai future. However former Thai President and SOL vice Chair Albert Neurath has agreed to be my senior Minister of Foreign Affairs and we will be working hard to further international relationships and recognition, and doing our utmost to provide international relationships that best protect Thailand, and where possible provide regular opportunity for Thai citizens to participate in battles.

Every vote on election day (Day 92😎 will count so…

Together let’s build a better, stronger Thai community and a better, stronger eThailand
