A small town in southern New Jersey is being shut down. The name of the town is being kept confidential for the safety of its residents and the military personnel that have responded to the incident. There are however a few details I am able to reveal.

The military was called in earlier this week because of what is thought to be a viral outbreak. Biohazard teams stormed the town and quarantined its residents. Putting up road blocks and confining all townspeople to their homes. They believe it’s a new strain of Ebola that has mutated.

Symptoms include low heart rate, low blood pressure, a nearly undetectable pulse, extremely pale skin, jaundice(a yellowing of the eyes and skin) blood dripping from the tear ducts and a throaty harsh cough.

Once contracted the virus is fatal in 98% of the people who catch it. Out of the 3,479 people who inhabit the town one quarter, 1,467 people and growing, are suspected of having caught this horrific illness.

The Mayor issued a statement asking all citizens to remain calm and stay indoors. If they exhibit any of the symptoms they are to call 911 and tell the dispatcher. It seems that 911 is being flooded with phone calls now.

FEMA is being called in but no one knows or cares if they will actually show up. The mood is quite grim down here. The town is eerily quiet except for the sound of military Humvees patrolling the streets. I was allowed to enter the town with an exceptionally large guard chaperoning me. I was not allowed to leave the humvee and I had to wear a yellow biohazard suit completely equipped with an oxygen mask.

I spoke to General Mickowski, Washington’s chief advisor on biological warfare about the situation. Here is what he had to say about what’s going on;
“We have the situation completely under control. We are working with the CDC to organize the quarantine and separate the sick from the well. There is no reason to worry. We have the best minds in the country working together to ensure that this incident does not spread or leak out of this town.”

When I asked him about whether or not this could have been an attack from one of our enemies the general quickly shot that down.
“It’s a ludicrous notion. Since 911 our gates have been sealed shut. No one slips by our security. I had the CIA look into the usual suspects and they have assured me that this was not an attack.”

It’s been two days and 37 people have died. More and more keep getting sick.
