On the War Path

Yesterday was one of the best days of my entire elife. I haven’t had that much fun playing eRep since the US fought Poland. It was all made possible by a coordinated attack made by AIM, a coalition of military units working together to bring the fun back to eRepublik.

So, yesterday, AIM coordinated an attack to free a few regions via resistance war. One of them was for Canada, and it was a close battle so I figured I’d have some fun and help out against Spain.

I’m not going to go into details too much, but I put up 202 million in one battle and the final score of that battle was Canda 1810, Spain 1790. Spain just wouldn’t give up, and I and some others fought tooth and nail for the win. It was easily the closest, most exciting battle I’d ever been a part of. Spain pretty much rolled over after that, accepting defeat.



Battles like this one show just how much fun this game can be if there’s battles to fight in that matter to the people! Just imagine if this had been a battle for the homeland? Fighting TWO straight up, going head to head with Serbia or Poland? The damage dropped in the Canadian RW would be dwarfed by the amount a battle against Serbia or Poland would draw. We need war!


The United States going to war

We need a direct war with an actual enemy. This game is becoming more and more stagnant by the day and training wars are not the answer to this either. Training wars are a bore for many players simply because you just fight back and forth, and in the case of fighting weaker nations, you end up fighting for them so they don’t lose regions.

I’m really hoping that Artela will bring us a war. Or that TWO brings the war to us by invading, because even getting wiped and having to fight everyday to try and reconquer our regions would be better than sitting on our thumbs for another six months if you ask me. Playing it safe is no fun for anyone who isn’t in the Executive or Congressional branches of the government. The only way for normal players to affect anything is through the military aspect of the game, and there’s been nothing happening here for a long time. That needs to change.
