NZDF massive recruitment

Day 1,122, 12:22 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by NZ Ministry of Defence

Hello eNew Zelanders! I believe the most of you are familiar with the recent events in our army, but some explanation could not hurt. The summary would be that NZDF was dismantled and now it is brought to life again, everybody are joining forces to form the new NZDF. Yes, we did not do it on time, but better late then never. We want to unite efforts in this sector also, so after some talks and opinion exchange we understood each other’s ideas and agreed upon setting up new and strong NZDF.

Since it was organised pretty good already, we agreed not to change it a lot. The main subject of consideration was establishing an abuse free system in every sense of the word. That is why we will keep the line organisational structure, as any army should, with an exception of headquarters, aka Defense Council. The chairman of Council and the army leader will still be CoDF, who has commanding powers, yet is limited by the Defense Council. CoDF is elected by Council, can be replaced by Council and his decisions can be vetoed, but only in extreme situations of bad reasoning and abuse which I am sure will never happen. So the real role of Defense Council will be to help the CoDF in achieving and maintaining high organisational level of army, backing him up in everyday work. CoDF, together with Council, takes care of promoting and degrading soldiers, army companies, distribution of funds etc. MOD remains the key figure in setting up daily orders and battle priorities, and deciding on army budget.

*This picture is just a sketch of the structure so that everyone can understand the structure, its not the finall version.

Army will remain apolitical, its officers will be elected amongst the army members. They way up in the command chain would start from soldier, advance to brigade commander, then deputy general and finally brigade general. Since generals together with their deputies and CoDF form the High Council, the new CoDF is elected from the Council and by the Council. Each brigade will be assigned with one organisation, and will have its chat-room. I believe this is a good organisation that covers all the angels but it may be subject to minor changes if something was missed.

I sincerely hope all the previous soldiers will come back and together with new ones form 4 equally strong brigades, with members of all nationalities, so it would encourage getting to know each other and breaking down barriers between people residing in NZ. I also hope that we finish this re-establishment of NZDF asap so that we can start with training in wars, and hopefully some real conquests in near future.

Everyone who wishes to join NZDF should apply here, so that we can form brigades based on average strength and RL time zones:

We will together define officers to start with, and in the future a rotation system will be in power. The data will be processed as soon as possible, in the meanwhile I encourage you to share any questions, ideas and thoughts with us via igm or comment, and to come and visit the official NZDF chat room:

One more thing, we are aware there were 2 brigades called New Zealand Army and New Zealand Special Air Service. But now, hopefully, we will have 4 brigades at our disposal so we would like to open a small contest about introducing 2, or maybe the whole 4 new names. We hope there will be creative responses 🙂
