NZ Nightly News - 11/16

Day 1,092, 21:36 Published in New Zealand USA by Fionia

Welcome to the New Zealand Nightly News, November 16th edition.

Our top story tonight: the Party Presidential results.

Wang Chung did a great job of summarizing them in his article.

Some of the parties have published article about or by their new presidents: the Kiwi Social Democrats, the Kiwi Independent Party, and the Peace 'n' Prosperity Party.

More taxes!

Grain (9 Yes to 19 No)

Moving Tickets (14 Yes to 10 No)

Rifle (14 Yes to 9 No)

Air Unit (15 Yes to 7 No)

Artillery (14 Yes to 10 No)

Along with these proposals come a slew of articles, as well: Don KronoX is in favor of them, Carr de Vaux is opposed, and MisterBeefhead explains the VAT in his usual way, satire.

Not much news here for NZ specifically. There's one Serbian battle going on in Banat.

Wahoobob analyzes the action going on in our corner of the eWorld, while JeanLouis takes a more international look.

Oh, and Hungary got wiped out. The former eAmerican in me cheers at this.

Chetan Zapato just keeps churning those interviews out. Today's was #5, with Minister of Fun/Minister of Public Information, wahoobob.

Now, to editorialize a bit: I've noticed in the few days I've been doing this series that there aren't a lot of articles being published in eNZ daily, and those that are published and are good quality are by the same 10 or so people. I want to see not just more articles in NZ, but more quality articles. So I'm going to start a contest tonight. Whoever publishes the best Party Update article by the end of the week gets 4 gold.

Each week I'll pick a new category, and the prizes might differ from week to week, but let's see if this can stimulate our media. PM all entries to me, either here, on the forums, or on IRC to be considered.

In a desperate attempt to restrengthen PHX, Wonder Forward calls for Hungarians and Serbians to move to Indonesia to create a super-country.

[Note: not an English article] Mijuca analyzes the new missions, strength, and damage formulas. Looks very informative from the Google Translate version, sure to be useful to people who understand the language.

And now, for your daily pic:
