Not the month for me. It's the month for ME.

Day 2,390, 22:06 Published in USA USA by John Largo

Hello eAmerica!

I am John Largo and I ran for President of the eUnited States of America and lost this month. That sentence took me a long time to write.

I guess there can be a lot of reasons why I lost. I didn't IRC enough. I didn't do a radio debate. My AMP town hall was impromptu and I did not do it for other parties. I didn't ask permission from the "power players". I didn't push hard enough for the AMP nomination. I need to stop being an elitist (that one was the most surprising). I didn't start involving and building my team early enough. Somehow I let people think I was running for the lulz. I was too radical in my ideas. I should have sent the MM myself.

I asked for what I could do better, and that was a paraphrase of the response. I appreciate the candor of those that responded and I definitely hope to grow from this experience.

I took on a popular incumbent with the nomination of the top 3 parties, and only lost by 17 votes. I count that as a big step toward a win in the future. There is no need for negativity. There is only the foundation for future victory.

Let me brag on a couple of my cabinet members (forgive me for not including everyone).

Cyber Witch - She is a great adviser and someone I trust. She wrote an excellent endorsement article for me.
Oblige / Cubby - These guys supplied the experience and know how to support my candidacy.
Dave Gulya and Code-Y - These guys worked hard for me on the messaging front.
Rainy Sunday - She specifically sent me PMs outside the group PM letting me know when I was doing something right.
All the guys/gals in both camps who gave me good advice despite split allegiances.
PilotPhil - He wrote a great endorsement article, and is a budding media darling.
Haselrig - He will be a great Secretary of Education for someone down the line and if he wants it, a great country leader someday.
DylanBAS - He was very supportive, and gave me the advice to report my comments below from our group PM.

My Presidential History to this point:
My first attempt at the Presidency was in November of 2012. It was me versus Pfeiffer in the first Unity Meta election. The winner ran in-game and the loser, stayed on the sidelines. I won two parties and Pfeiffer won two parties. The deciding vote was the newly created WTP, which did not have a party election and instead was decided by the Party President to choose Pfeiffer. I might sound mad at that decision, but please do not read that. I was willing to step back instead of attempting to force an "in game" vote, because we were fighting Ajay and his Serbian PTOers at the time and that was the best for the country at that moment. That race was the first time I saw people believe in me in this game on a large scale and planted the seeds for my future.

The second time I ran was November of 2013. In that time there was a call for a fresh candidate from each of the top five parties. I was chosen as the AMP representative. That one was totally lulz, until I randomly showed up on irc and was told that a debate was going on. I joined, shot from the hip, and was roundly recognized as a top candidate. I come up with my best ideas on the fly. Sometimes being on the spot accesses your subconscious and your best work emerges. That debate is where the Public PDB idea was born. I competed against the best of all parties in that election and I finished second. I was 56 votes behind NAz (who was a good President) and I am proud of that accomplishment. That was the first chance I had to put my name in front of the nation. It was largely a good experience.

That brings me to today. I finished 17 votes behind Molly Emma and I refuse to say anything bad about her. We both ran a good and ethical race, and I am better for the experience. I think our nation is better for the experience. I hope you are too.

Molly Emma is the President and I place my trust in Molly Emma. For the sake of my campaign goals, Unity, Transparency and Inclusivity, I encourage you to place you trust in Molly Emma now that she is President again and I ask you to help her be successful every chance you get.

P.S You might see me on the July ballot. 🙂
